I am a happily married woman and I have 3 beautiful children. My 3 year old son, 10 year old stepdaughter, and 8 year old stepson. My hope is that by improving my health, this will also help my family to improve theirs.

Fitness has been a part of my life for a long time now. Sometimes it's not as big a part as it should be and that's what I'm trying to change. My story begins when I was about 12 and I joined a youth organization called the Young Marines. I was a lazy kid just like most at the time, but things began to change as more was expected of me. I threw myself into fitness and kicked it up another notch around 16. For the first time in my life I was happy with my body. I achieved this through very simple exercises like running, swimming, crunches, and push-ups. Then, my life changed when I became pregnant at 18. I was working and eating constantly. The day I had my son, I weighed in at 206. After that I steadied at around 185. I was back at work and attempted to go to the gym for several months, but between work, home, and daycare, I wasn't losing any weight. Then, about 2 years ago, I quit my job and decided to stay at home. Last year is when my second transformation began. I started going to the gym again and in 6 months I lost 30 lbs. I did this through cardio, basic weight training and just being diet conscious. It made me realize how much happier and easier your life is when your healthy. So, here I am this year, gained a few pounds back and don't want to stay that way. I believe fitness is not something you do for an hour a day, but a lifestyle.
