Going to get fit-again. I used to work out, on and off, triathlons, gym memberships, running, weights, swimming, martial arts, blah, blah, but while it feels great and I really enjoy it, life has the knack of getting in the way and things slow to a halt. Then it stops.
Now I'm 45 and I'm beginning to feel like it. Things ache. I don't bend my knees to pick things up from the floor anymore. Things feel tight. My right shoulder droops a little. i have bad posture. The Internet is a great distraction and time sink.
I need to get fit again. I'm not good at making up my own routines or workouts to plans because it's too difficult/boring/time consuming...insert your own excuse here.
I need something that will get me fit where I can just turn up and just do what I'm told until the workout is done. But it can't be the same workout over and over because, well, that's boring too.
After some research, I have decided to commit to p90x. Turn up. Do what I'm told until I can't feel my legs and have a different workout each day. Sounds good. So, when the kids go back to school on the 7th Jan, it begins.
Bring it on, I say.
