31YO male, married to a WONDERFUL wife, with 2 GREAT children (Boy 5, Girl 3 1/2). Not fat, but slightly overweight with no muscle definition. Well I'm counting today as day 1. For the last 2 days I did a 2Day Fast Start where I drank the Celebrity Hollywood Diet liquid fast to "detox," shrink my stomach (because I tend to eat LARGE portions -- I mean ATE) and to quick start my weight loss. It seemed to work! I lost about 8 pounds, and unfortunately do not know if I lost any inches, as I didn't take my measurements beforehand.

I purchased my P90 almost 4 years ago, believe it or not! I've started it 2 other times -- failed miserably in a couple of weeks the first time around, and made it halfway through the second time around. Last time I did it I was trying to lose weight and tone up to prepare for a trip I won through work to Costa Rica. My wife and I went on diets and started exercising so we wouldn't feel fat in our bathing suits in front of my collegues and their spouses... I stopped P90 last time because the trip fell at about the halfway point, and I "fell off the wagon" while on vacation, and lost my motivation to get back on! The trip was behind me!

My motivation is different this time - I'm not worried about looking good in a swimsuit (I WANT to feel comfortable taking my shirt off, don't get me wrong!) but I know that my eating habits, and NOT working out is eventually going to start taking a toll on me. I travel a lot for work, so it is really tough for me to NOT go to McDonald's -- it's cheap, convenient and really easy to eat in the car. I need to plan ahead of time to eat better on the road keeping almonds, dried berries and or PowerBars in my car.

I also have a dedication to the workouts. I start P90 workouts tomorrow 1/11/07. I wanted to start today, but couldn't find my DVD. I did 20 minutes on the treadmill, instead -- so I'm proud of myself for NOT using that as an excuse. I AM starting tomorrow morning!
