Well I am new to team beachbody and need something to help get my body into shape. I am a 40 yr old nurse which has done the yo=yo game of weight control. I have lost weight before with WW and doing it the second time round, but it seems harder because one of my friends is busy with her life. It is the exercise and motivation to do something, anything that I a struggle with some days. My job Well I am new to team beachbody and need something to help get my body into shape. I am a 40 yr old nurse which has done the yo=yo game of weight control. I have lost weight before with WW and doing it the second time round, but it seems harder because one of my friends is busy with her life. It is the exercise and motivation to do something, anything that I a struggle with some days. My job involves a bit of everything as I am not a typical nurse in a hospital - I do it sometimes, but I also teach flight nursing which involves flying and doing actual missions. I don't hate it and most days are ok, but I want to love it and what I can do with it. I am more of a couch potatoe than I want to be, but do particpate in some volleyball as I see it as fun and not working out. When I turned the big 40 this past Nov, I wanted to start a new chapter of my life being healthy, lean and active, not dealing with the health problems that my parents have (some definitely preventable). Also I am trying to follow weight watchers as their whole attitude is nothing is forbidden, just count it or do some activity. It is changing to a healthy lifestyle, being conscious what you are putting into your mouth, why do you eat when you do (are you really hungry), healthy food guidlines and portion control (something that has gotten so out of control in North America it is scary). I have just watched and tried the learn and burn video and feel a bit like a geek( not feeling coordinated). Also the motivation to just get into and stick with a program will be a challenge. I guess that this is taking the first step to an improved me and my health. I will admit I want the kick ass body that people have - definition of the abs, all over toning and looking healthy!

My long term goal is to reach 140-150 lb and maintain that weight looking fit ,toned and healthy. I know that for weight to stay off it should be lost as a healthy rate of 1-2 lbs per week. I would love to be down potentially 20 lbs by July as I will be attending a girlfriend's wedding in London. Want to look like a knockout at that even and for my holidays. I also plan to do some hiking/climbing/hill walking during that time overseas while seeing more of the UK. Would love to improve my fitness ability to be able to run (not sure what type of goal for this at the moment - maybe minimum for at least 10 minuts at a fast rate, imcrease my ability to do more than 12 mlitary push ups in a minute, and 40 sit ups in a minute. I would love to have a flat abdomen, toned glutes and legs and therefore where my two piece bathings suits with pride of my fabulous body. Maybe I am dreaming, but I promised myself that 2008 was going to be my year to make dreams and goals come true.
