I am a 36 year old mom of twins. I love the feeling of a true accomplishment. I had horrible complications with the birth of my twins and had to have six corrective surgeries that none of which worked so I ended up having a hysterectomy. I was diagnosed right after with Lupus, Epstein Barr and Fybromyalgia. I was on tons of medications, beta blockers, steroids and even an anti-depressant. I got random fevers, had a hard time remembering and concentrating, and actually used the wall for stability when I walked. At the time, I had no idea the side effects from these medications were effecting me so much, and since they are similar to the side effects of the diseases, I didn't know what was causing what. I felt helpless, useless, and completely terrified of how sick I was. Slowly, I began, after many years of living like this, to start to move more. I decided I would live or die, but not continue they way I was. My father died in April and I was devastated, I knew I had no reason in the world to move but still somewhere deep down a small amount of my natural self remained. I started Insanity on June 27th. I finished, loving every day of it. It was hard for sure but I pushed and put all my frustrations into it. Insanity was my time, what I was doing for myself and I was floored by my results. I couldn't do a push up when I started, when I finish my first round I was up to 58 push jacks a minute. I went right into it again, and completed round 2, then round 3. I have now graduated into the Asylum incorporating Shakeology, which I love. I have gained an inch of muscle in my arms and legs,I have shredded my core and I'm at 6% body fat. Insanity has transformed my body and my life. I will never go back to being that tired,sick person again.
