Springfield Gardens, NY I'm a working, married mother of one. I started law school this year and am really trying to work around the time constraints and the endless reading the I need to do in order to succeed. However, fitness is an important goal for me, so like it or not, I WILL be working out 6 days a week!
I HATE exercise. No, really... you have never met anyone that hates exercise like me. BUT I realized that I'm a working, married mother of one. I started law school this year and am really trying to work around the time constraints and the endless reading the I need to do in order to succeed. However, fitness is an important goal for me, so like it or not, I WILL be working out 6 days a week!
I HATE exercise. No, really... you have never met anyone that hates exercise like me. BUT I realized that diet wasn't the only thing about me that needed to change. I saw changes in my body that I wasn't happy with, I was becoming this doughy mass of mommy. Now those are the kinds of issues that only exercise will solve, and as much as I hated to do it, I admitted that I needed to make a move.
So, at the suggestion of a good friend and one of your success stories, I joined MDB/WOWY/BeachBody last year and I've been hanging with you guys ever since.
I started with YBB... determined not to shock my system into quitting. :o) I loved it, but I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Then there was SI6... WHAT!? I started and completed it and was thrilled by the change in my muscle tone. Then Turbo Jam... TJ is what kept me motivated to continue... it is the program I recommend most often. It has to be fun, right? Now I have moved on to Power 90 and have thrown in 2 Masters Series workouts - not just for the heck of it... but because I can do them!
With each new challenge I gain more pride in not only my appearance, but in the fact that I am able to step up and meet those challenges. With changes to my diet, I have managed to get rid of 25 extra pounds and get into a bikini for the first time in about 5 years this summer. It isn't always easy, but I now have the will and determination to do so. I am soooo motivated! ...and a year and a half ago... that was just NOT me.
So... I continue on, hoping to achieve my goals but even if I do or do not, exercise will always be a part of my life.
