I'm 34 years old and I'm 5'11". I have a 6-year-old daughter and an 4-year-old son. I gained 40 pounds in each of my pregnancies. With my first
I lost all but 5 pounds. The last time around, I gained 40 lbs. and was only able to lose about 20. I hope to lose at least 25 pounds!

I work full time in public relations... and I've never been a person to exercise without complaining... LOL. I

2/6/05 - I'm so excited to start my journey to health with Slim in 6! I, like
many of you, have two young kids and can't seem to lose the baby weight.

2/6/05 - I'm so excited to start my journey to health with Slim in 6! I, like
many of you, have two young kids and can't seem to lose the baby weight.
Ideally, I'd like to lose 25 to 35 pounds. I planned out my menu for the
week, did my grocery shopping yesterday... and I'm set up for success! I'm
already using the message boards here... and have found some wonderful
new friends and motivators! I'll keep you posted week-by-week!

End of Week One - 2/12/05 - I finished Week One! Hooray! LOL... I was SO
sore the first couple of days I thought I would die. I could hardly walk. Just
goes to show you how truly out of shape I am! I did SIU for two days... and
then moved into RIU. Unfortunately, I still haven't received my resistance
bands in the mail... so I'm using candlesticks for weights instead... LOL. I ate
right this week... and didn't miss a day. I lost 2.5 pounds and almost 2
inches total. I can't wait to see what week two has in store!

End of Week Two - 2/19/05 - Whew! I made it through week two doing RIU.
I LOVE RIU... and even though I have to get up at 4:45 in the morning to
squeeze in a work out... I didn't miss a day. By the end of the week... I was
able to do the entire RIU with no breaks! I already feel better... stronger and
more empowered than I have in a long time. I've lost 4 pounds and 6.25
inches in two weeks! *smiles and high fives anyone who's listening.* Thanks
to the "moms supporting moms" girls in the Si6 forum. You guys are
awesome and I wouldn't be doing this without your support! Bring on Week 3
and BIU!

End of Week 3 - 2/26/05 - Holy cow! BIU really kicked my BUTT... LOL. I
have to say... it still isn't any easier to motivate myself to get out of bed at 4:
45 a.m. for a grueling workout... but I managed to make it every day anyway!
My knees were a bit sore the first few days of BIU... but they are slowly
getting better. I'm trying to really watch my form. I lost 1 pound and 3
inches this week... for a total of 5 pounds and 10.25 inches! I'm SO happy
with the results... even though I wish it were more! I'm half way through...
and I celebrated on Friday with a 50 minute massage. It was pure heaven! I
have another massage scheduled for my last day of Week 6. I deserve it...
LOL. Bring on week 4!

End of Week 4 - 3/5/04 - I have to say, BIU is still tough... but it's getting
easier. I lost 2.5 pounds this week and 4 inches! WOW! That brings my
total to 7.5 pounds and 14.25 inches lost! I'm feeling so much better about
myself. It's really incredible. Week 5... here I come!

End of Week 5 - 3/12/05 - This week was by far the toughest one yet. I was
tempted so much by evil chocolate this week. I have been SO good on my
diet until now. I still didn't cheat much, but it was enough to sabotage my
efforts. I didn't lost any pounds this week and only one inch. It still brings
my totals to 7.5 pounds and 15.25 inches lost. I'm really proud of that... but
I still wish it was more! I plan to work really hard this last week and hope for
the best! I will start the 6-day Express Diet on Sunday. Hopefully it will bring
BIG results!

End of Week 6 - 3/19/05 - I did it! I am SO proud of myself. I made a
commitment to give Slim in 6 everything I had... and I never missed a
workout! *High fives everyone!* I have just proven to myself that I can make
a commitment to exercise and stick with it to the end - as long as I've got a
plan! I did the 6-day express diet this week... and wasn't having great
results. I asked the fitness advisor for some advice... and on day 6 of Week 6,
he told me I wasn't eating enough. So... I quit the 6-day express, upped my
calories and lost another 3.5 pounds and 3 more inches... for total losses of
11 pounds and 17.75 inches! This is really working! I'm wearing my pre-
pregnancy slacks again and it has only been 6 weeks! I'm going to do one
more week of BIU before I take a rest week.

End of Week 7 - 3/ 26/05 - Whew! Week 7 is down... and I lost one more
pound and 2.5 more inches. My new totals are 12 pounds and 20.25 inches
lost! Hooray! I missed one workout this week... and followed it up by having
a piece of pie on Easter Sunday... but I don't feel guilty! I'm really happy with
my eating changes and my new found health. I still have at least 15 pounds
to go. I'm taking a rest week and will do the 2-day fast during the rest week.
I'll post my results of that next!. Then it's on to a combo round of Si6 and
Slim Series! I can hardly wait to see the results from round 2. Thanks Debbie
and Beachbody! :)

Rest Week and 2-day Fast - 4/2/05 - Well... I completed the 2-day fast and
lost 4.5 pounds in the two days. All in all, the fast wasn't as bad as I thought
it would be! It was definitely more difficult emotionally than it was physically!
I made it 43 hours before I caved and had a handful of nuts and a Diet Coke.
I ate a small meal for dinner that night after the 48 hours. By Sunday, when I
weighed a measured as usual, I had gained one pound back. So, in total, I
lost 14.5 pounds and 22.25 inches during my 7-week Slim in 6 journey plus
the two-day fast! Now it's on to round 2! I start a week of RIU and KIU
alternating days today!

What are my new goals? To lose another 10 pounds this round and
legitimately fit into those size 10 pants I just bought! :D That... and to look
great in a swimsuit in time for a big camping trip we have planned for
Memorial Day. Let's see what this round of Slim in 6/Slim Series can do for
me! Bring it on Debbie!

Round 2, End of Week 3 - 4/23/05 - Well, I have completed half of my 6-
week Si6/Slim Series Combo and I'm loving the new workouts! I have lost 3
more inches and 1.5 more pounds. The losses are coming more slowly now...
but I feel very good about how far I've come. I am wearing those size 10
slacks to work now! I can't wait to see my end results in 3 weeks!
