All my life I have always been a very athletic person. I come from a family that believes in good home cooked meals, so weight was never a problem as a young child until I reached my early teen years (12,13,14,15) I had began to grow, and in turn, my appetite did too. I quickly noticed a small weight gain of 10lbs, and took immediate action to correct it. I started watching my caloric intake at age 13, and keeping it in a journal. I would do different cardio routines like riding my bicycle, jump roping, and walking the dog more often. this was the start of my workout revolution. As a grew older and gained more info on weight loss and the body, I began to adjust my workouts so I could see more success. So I began a routine that involved still mostly cardio, and engaged muscular work a couple days out of the week, I would do eliptical for 30mins, then 15min of strength training. I learned how to use the things around me to my advantage, because I was younger and had a lack of funds. I used the stair case in my house as a tool to increase my edurance. I would do "timed stair climbs" as I once called it, and this seemed to work for me,...At age 16 I realized I wanted more for my body.... but I didnt know how to do it...September of 2007 late one night I saw an info-mercial for TurboJam, and i was soooo amazed, I had never seen a workout routine like it ever before. The very next day I begain my quest on how to obtain this golden workout...It just so happend my aunt who was at the time going thru a battle with her weight had purchased the full turbojam set, and allowed me to borrow it to experiment and see if I would gain results....I begin with the CardioParty which seemed sooooo hard to me. But in the video, Chalene encourages you to continue on, and the movements will become second nature..this proved true, I was doing turbojam with ease within that month. By the summer of 2008, my edurance had a mega increase, I shed off my weight, and over achieved my weight loss goal. All summer, I went to the track, ran 4miles, turbo jammed everyday, lifted a couple weights, life was good....I hit a plateau at the end of 2008 however, and gained about 5lbs back, but now, I'm learning from my mistakes, and learning how to eat better as well as starting my regular exercise. I soon hope to become a TurboJam or TurboKick instructor. Many opportunities are right in front of me. :)
