My adult life after starting a famiy the person that I see in the mirror is not so over weight, pretty, fun, full of life, life of the party, caring of others and creative. When I take a look at actual photos, I see an overweight person that looks out of place. I started eating real foods a year ago but my activity level stayed the same. I am a self employed designer/painter and find myself over booked, putting work and family infront of my health and fitness needs. I started to schedule my workouts on my datebook so I would make an appointment with myself to physically and mentally make a change. That just wasn't enough for me. I still would erase the date if work came up.
My youngest son Weston graduated from High School this year and has been interested in physical training and fitness since he was a child. I decided to make a commitment and be accountable through my son and purchase a simple 10 minute workout that I could do daily without looking like a lazy uncommitted mother. When the Beachbody 10 minute trainer BOX arrived I was so excited. I had my son take before photos, take my measurements for the tracking and created a daily document sheet that has the date, workout program, time, how I felt before/after the workout/ meal and H2o tracking and an Extra Activity area. Oh and a place for my son to sign to verify my workout of the day! He asks me every eve what workout I did or did I make the time today to do my workout? It is encouraging for me as I don't want to dissapoint my son and I really want to encourage him to pursue a health fitness education. After 5 days, I have lost 1.5" in my waist. I don't step on a scale that often I find it is depressing so we are tracking weight every 30 days.
