Redmond, WA I am a 38 year old SAHM of 3 beautiful children, 2 boys ages 10 and 7, a girl 3 yrs and married to a wonderful husband. Fitness and sports have always been a major part of my life. I attended 6 years of college to earn my physical therapy degree. I worked as a physical therapist at a major hospital until my oldest son turned 1 and I decided I wanted to stay home and raise my kids when they were I am a 38 year old SAHM of 3 beautiful children, 2 boys ages 10 and 7, a girl 3 yrs and married to a wonderful husband. Fitness and sports have always been a major part of my life. I attended 6 years of college to earn my physical therapy degree. I worked as a physical therapist at a major hospital until my oldest son turned 1 and I decided I wanted to stay home and raise my kids when they were still very young. What I enjoyed most about being a physical therapist was helping my patients regain their independence and motivating them to achieve their rehab goals. I love helping others gain the knowledge they need to change their lives for the better! Now, my family has grown and my 3 kids keep my life very busy. I still love being home with my kids so I can watch and help them grow, but I also miss working with others to help them achieve their physical goals. I have had my own struggles with weight despite being physically fit and now I am determined to become the fittest I have ever been after having 3 kids. I decided to become a beachbody coach to be an inspiration to others and help motivate more people to be healthy and fit. I would love to help you obtain your goals of health and fitness and then reach even higher! You have control of your life and you can make positive changes if you put forth the effort and maintain a positive attitude. I have always enjoyed playing multiple sports but was overweight most of my life intil my first son turned 1 year old. At that time, I decided to gradually make better nutritional changes to get healthier and also make sure my kids ate healthy from the start. I play co-rec soccer and enjoy running and doing triathlons. I am always looking for new goals and ways to increase my fitness. After injuring my ACL playing in March of 2010, I was limited in my activities for 5 months. I finally was able to return to running and higher intensity exercise in August. I needed something to help me increase my fitness again and lose those last 5 pounds of bodyfat hanging onto my hips, thighs, and butt from my last pregnancy over years ago. I saw an informercial for Turbo Jam and ordered it right away! I have always loved kickboxing and tae bo because it gives me a great full body workout with cardio and toning. However, I have found most of the dvds I have were just not intense enough for me. Turbo Jam seemed very upbeat, fun, motivational, and I loved Chalene's enthusiasm. In September, I decided to take the plunge and order Turbo Fire to kick up the intensity! I am loving Turbo Fire! I am still working on cleaning up my nutrition again/cutting back on chocolate to help with my progress towards my goals. I recently started taking Shakeology and I already noticed a decrease in my chocolate cravings. My knee is feeling less tight and sore with workouts and playing soccer. My energy has increased and I am able to make better nutritional choices again for my body. After Turbo Fire, I plan on trying many of the other options out there. First and foremost, Chalene X-treme. I have heard a lot about Insanity and P90X as well and can't wait to try them! I will keep you posted...
I completed Insanity Asylum in June in preparation for the Warrior Dash I did in July. Absolutely love the program and the fact that it was short, only 30 days.
However, I have suffered a stressful year which resulted in a good deal of comfort eating and regaining a few pounds. I am re-comitting myself to dropping those pounds and getting my diet back on track. I completed two months of P90X and then went back to starting a new round of Chalean extreme with was Turbofire thrown in. I have joined the Beachbody Challenge with Chalean Extreme hoping. I have a couple half marathons coming up and then goals to begin triathlon training again next year in order to complete my first half ironman in July of 2012!
I have also pre-ordered P90X2 & hope to Bring It in January!
