My name is Joe, I'm 6'1 265lbs, from New Lenox, Ill. I ordered the P90x program after seeing an infomercial about it. I ordered P90x with the Idea that my wife and I would be able to do this together, to try and get ourselves back in shape, but she's a little skeptical about it, so I'm going to do this solo. I'm at the point in my life now where I have to make some drastic lifestyle changes, My name is Joe, I'm 6'1 265lbs, from New Lenox, Ill. I ordered the P90x program after seeing an infomercial about it. I ordered P90x with the Idea that my wife and I would be able to do this together, to try and get ourselves back in shape, but she's a little skeptical about it, so I'm going to do this solo. I'm at the point in my life now where I have to make some drastic lifestyle changes, specifically with my bad eating habits and my weight. I've had problems with my knee's the last few years and along with my weight and bad eating habits, I've been making excuses about why I shouldn't work out, and in the process I let myself get in the worst shape that I've ever been in my whole life. I realize I'm older now, but I don't feel like I'm ready for the wheel chair or rockin chair just yet. So I made the decision to do something about it. I've had both of my knee's replaced this past July, so there will be no more excuses. I set three goals for myself. 1st goal= To lose 55lbs 2nd goal= To finish this P90x program and all the exercises in it's entirety. 3rd goal= To get myself in good enough shape to complete a 160 mile bike ride across Indiana, to raise money for the veteran's, past and present. So with that being said, it's time to get busy. I know P90x is an extreme workout, that's why I picked it. I've craved competition my whole life, and I believe the only way to get better is to compete against people who are better or on another level than you are, and with a lot of hard work, eventually you will get to there level and maybe higher. So here we go ,with God willing and the help of Tony Horton and P90x staff, I will be able to reach these goals. Take care and I will see everyone at the finish line. Hopefully the newly transformed me.

It's my 87th day, the 3rd day of week 13, of the P90X doubles program. I was going along pretty good until the beginning of week 10. I pulled a deltoid muscle in my shoulder while doing pushups. So I More ...
It's my 87th day, the 3rd day of week 13, of the P90X doubles program. I was going along pretty good until the beginning of week 10. I pulled a deltoid muscle in my shoulder while doing pushups. So I had to back off on certain exercises the last 3 weeks. I didn't want to stop since I was going along so well. Not wanting to lose everything that I've done up to this point, the last 3 weeks I've been doing AB ripper X and Turbo Jam cardio every day in the morning before I go to work just to stay active. Hopefully I can try and finish my last 3 weeks of the P90X doubles program, if my shoulder holds up. I've lost 27lbs of the 55lbs I set for my goal. I think that this is the hardest part right now. I've stalled a little right now. Once I get over this little bump in the road I should be alright. Up to this point there has been more positives than negatives. I've lost inches and weight, and I've noticed that my stomach is getting flatter, which is a good thing. I realize I have a long ways to go. It's December right now, and I'm hoping by this spring I will be close to where I want to be, to reaching my goal. That would be going through the P90X program 2 more times, for a total of 3 times. Then after that it should just be maintenance to maintain my goal. That's about all for now. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. See you at the finish line.
