I'm 44, newly married, and the mother of two gorgeous girls, 16 and 23. I have been physically active since childhood, being involved in all kinds of activities, from softball in grade school, to racquetball and weight training in college and beyond. Because of my high energy level as a child, I was even given the nickname of "Jonergy" by my Dad, "Mosquito" by my brother and "Jetty", by my I'm 44, newly married, and the mother of two gorgeous girls, 16 and 23. I have been physically active since childhood, being involved in all kinds of activities, from softball in grade school, to racquetball and weight training in college and beyond. Because of my high energy level as a child, I was even given the nickname of "Jonergy" by my Dad, "Mosquito" by my brother and "Jetty", by my sister! My children's Dad was also very active, having played for the Boston Red Sox in the 1970's. As a result we always encouraged our children to be physically active, engaging them in every activity under the sun, including softball, soccer, basketball and volleyball, and even participated with them in some walk/run fundraisers over the years. Due to my recent fitness transformation, I am now more fit, with a resting heart rate of about 50, and feel healthy and happy again. It is a wonderful feeling!

After having my second child, I felt a significant change in my body from when I had my first child. (After my first child, I went back to my original weight after about 2 or 3 weeks) I was very discouraged and frustrated. Keeping my weight down seemed like such a struggle. About 5 years ago I received the impetus to shed 20 extra pounds. This impetus came from my doctor, who became concerned during an office visit. At that point, being heavier than I had ever been (without being pregnant!) I went from weighing 120 pounds in high school, to 158 pounds after my second child was born. Very frightening to me considering my small frame. In desperation, and with determination in mind, I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Diet to a Healthy Heart Regime and began a serious circuit at the gym. In about 6 months to a year I had succeeded in losing 20 pounds, bringing me back within a healthy range of fat and lean body mass. My body became more efficient, and just knowing that I was getting healthier prevented me from eating food that was bad for me. I have a sweet tooth, and that was a difficult thing for me to overcome. I still struggle with this problem on rare occasions. I began to feel happy and healthy again, and have since married a man who shares my desire to be healthy and happy. I joined Team Beach Body and became a coach because I realized that even though I was going to aerobics classes and running, I still didn't have the level of fitness that I needed or wanted. My youngest daughter and I did our first series of DVD workouts last night and now I know why the place to store your workout is called WOWY----woweee--- That was intense!!! I feel better already! My main goals are to obtain overall body tone and strength, especially to my core. Also, I desire the ability to maintain my health and fitness level at this optimum level for the rest of my life
