After having my second child, I felt a significant change in my body from when I had my first child. (After my first child, I went back to my original weight after about 2 or 3 weeks) I was very discouraged and frustrated. Keeping my weight down seemed like such a struggle. About 5 years ago I received the impetus to shed 20 extra pounds. This impetus came from my doctor, who became concerned during an office visit. At that point, being heavier than I had ever been (without being pregnant!) I went from weighing 120 pounds in high school, to 158 pounds after my second child was born. Very frightening to me considering my small frame. In desperation, and with determination in mind, I began the Carbohydrate Addict's Diet to a Healthy Heart Regime and began a serious circuit at the gym. In about 6 months to a year I had succeeded in losing 20 pounds, bringing me back within a healthy range of fat and lean body mass. My body became more efficient, and just knowing that I was getting healthier prevented me from eating food that was bad for me. I have a sweet tooth, and that was a difficult thing for me to overcome. I still struggle with this problem on rare occasions. I began to feel happy and healthy again, and have since married a man who shares my desire to be healthy and happy. I joined Team Beach Body and became a coach because I realized that even though I was going to aerobics classes and running, I still didn't have the level of fitness that I needed or wanted. My youngest daughter and I did our first series of DVD workouts last night and now I know why the place to store your workout is called WOWY----woweee--- That was intense!!! I feel better already! My main goals are to obtain overall body tone and strength, especially to my core. Also, I desire the ability to maintain my health and fitness level at this optimum level for the rest of my life
