I turned 50 this past year and realized that I have really let myself go. Had not weighed that much since I was pregnant. I've gained and lost the same 10 to 15 pounds multiple times (used to be able to say 5). Until 15 years ago I was always involved in the fitness area. I taught aerobics, step aerobics and body sculpting at a well known gym. I then went back to school and have worked in the I turned 50 this past year and realized that I have really let myself go. I taught aerobics, step aerobics and body sculpting at a well known gym. I then went back to school and have worked in the health care industry in a demanding job (that I love) ever since. I have six children, ages 14 to 26, one granddaughter (plus another on the way), 2 dogs, 2 cats and an amazing husband. I have always tried to workout and eat reasonably, but for some reason I stopped doing this a couple years ago... and then found it was more difficult to take the weight off... and worse, gravity is NOT my friend. I have known folks that have used p90x, saw the commercial...and decided to give it a try. My husband and I had great results with our journey to a better, more healthy lifestyle. We have more energy and have both made progress, in weight loss, strength and stamina. I'll keep you posted!
Update... finished P90X, dabbled in Brazil Butt Lift and Turbo Fire (loved both), now focusing on Insanity to get ready for P90X2.

Update #2 - Got lazy and gained back some weight. Started P90X2 and realized I have some work to do before I can commit. Restarted Turbo Fire to "undo" some of the damage I've done over the past few months... loving it and feeling more fit every day. Plan to do P90X again, then P90X2... Can't wait to get my body back! I realize I feel so much better when I stay consistent in my workouts and my nutrition! Started using Shakeology again ... what a difference it makes!

I've always worked out and able to wear a bikini. Over the last two years I have let "life" and my job get in the way. I am 15 -20 pounds over my "ideal" weight. I'm up two pants sizes, and no longer feel comfortable in a bathing suit. I am 50 years old, a grandma (which I LOVE), a new job (also love) and want to get back the energy and fitness that I miss. My wonderful husband and I have started this journey together, and while we started working out 3 months ago... this workout is the challenge we need to really push ourselves. Hopefully this story will continue to progress positively : )

09/06/11 Coming to the end of week one of Insanity. I have to say that while this is a tough program, I'm really loving it! I think it's just the thing that I need to get rid of the rest of my fat. I will More ... 08/29/11 Just took my Insanity Fit Test today... did better than I thought I would. Definitely not in as good of cardiovascular shape as I thought i was.
