When I started, I had hit rock bottom (and more than once). On the surface, I should have been happy. I have a great paying job, a wonderful marriage, two awesome kids and over all a great life. The problem was there was an elephant on my back. I was 33 and weighed 276.8 lbs., with a BMI of 38.0. I started to notice little changes in myself that gradually started to add up to the beginning of a health crisis of my own. I was always tired, filling the void with double doubles and diet Pepsi. My family has a history of heart disease and I saw myself going down that track. I over ate to make myself happy and then felt depressed a short time later. I recently switched jobs and went to take out some extra life insurance and I was denied because my BMI was far too high. My kids are getting more and more active and I was having a hard time keeping up to them.
SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE!!!
I saw an inspirational change in my Beachbody Coach, Miguel Carasco and I thought to myself, that if he can do it so can I; and that is what I am doing now.
Six weeks ago I started Insanity, because Miguel challenged me to do something and I am reaping the rewards now. I am down 23lbs (253.8) and 12” total. I have half a cup of coffee in the morning and no longer drink diet soda. I no longer crave food to make me happy, my outlook on life has greatly improved. I am now active with my kids. I look forward to my workouts because Shaun T keeps me motivated and I can push myself to new levels every work out.
I am in the home stretch, with three weeks to go. My goal is to drop more inches and see a number in the 230s at the end of Insanity cycle one (Because there will be an Insanity cycle two, starting right after).
This is me.
