I've been a fitness runner for about 17 years. I stick to fairly low mileage to avoid overuse injuries, but love being outside. I bike in nice weather. I decided it was time to work on overall fitness, especially core & upper body. I'm a nurse practitioner, married to an electrical engineer. I have a daughter in college and a son in the Coast Guard.

This is my 6th week of P90X. I didn't need to lose weight, but have lost 1% body fat (18% to 17%) and lost 1 lb. I feel stronger and can see more upper body muscle & abs. I'm hoping to be able to eventually do a couple of pull-ups without the chair! I bring my lunch & snacks to work--makes all the difference. I'm finding it easier to resist the junk.
