in 2008, I had reached a point where I didn't feel good about myself and was at the heaviest weight of my life, so joined a Christ-based weight loss program called PRISM. The program doesn't just address weight loss, but dependencies, addictions, exercise, etc., as well as taking out sugar, white flour, etc. (Basically, if God made it, you can eat it!) I ended up losing 25 pounds, my cholesterol dropped 38 points, and my osteopenia (borderline osteoporosis) was reversed! In the last year and a half, though, I have been struggling with Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome as well as other health issues, and had to back off on working out.(I did manage to get some golf in last summer, though. : ) I'd put on 5 pounds, which doesn't sound so bad, but I've gotten "fluffy" and lost my muscle toning, which is very frustrating. I'm determined to get back into working out again, and get my fat % and inches down, and would appreciate anyone who can help kick me into gear!
Update - January 7, 2011: Began encouraging a co-worker and friend who's competing in a weight loss challenge at work. When she goes to workout at lunch, I go with and do something as well. I began doing elliptical, stairmaster, walking, etc., and got back in the exercise habit! Had initial body fat, waist and hip measurements done in Wellness Department with re-check in 5-6 weeks.
Update - February 17, 2011 Remeasurement & fat % - down to 27.7% body fat, lost 1.25 inches from waist and an inch from my hips!!! (I thought my pants had gotten looser, nice to have confirmation!) Added measurements for thigh and arm to check next time. Next update in 5-6 weeks...
