This means I wear loose fitting scrubs (which makes extra pounds easy to ignore) and have ample opportunity to eat unhealthy food that is always around. Before becoming a nurse I was a waitress. Although waitressing keeps you very active, it also has ample food at your convenience. My weight slowly began to creep up as I would eat late at night after my shifts. Sweets are my downfall and I am an "all or nothing" type of person. So, once I start into the sweets, I have a hard time stopping. I can date obsessing about weight gain back to July 10, 1974. That was the day my family moved from Stuttgart, Germany, where my Dad had been stationed for the past 3 years. Growing up as an Army Brat had given me the opportunity to live in a bunch of different places. All I can remember about that move was my crying over the fact that I was so afraid that I would move back to the States and sit in front of the TV, eat snacks, and get fat!! I now live in Stuart, Florida. I'm married and have 2 kids, one just graduated from college and the other is just starting college. I run, ride bikes, and compete in triathlons. However, over the past 10-15 years I've fought with that middle area on myself. This area is easy to hide from others, but I know exists, and now I'm ready to once and for all get rid of it! So, when my brother introduced me to Beachbody.com I decided that I wanted to pick July 10, as my join date. This date was significant because after 34 years I will finally get a hold of my figure and get it to where I want it to be. I'm excited about the Beachbody, com program! There are so many resources to help with diet, exercise and motivation. I can get up first thing in the morning, get my workout done, and head off to work. Once I've already worked out, I am less likely to make unhealthy food choices since I don't want to undo the hard work I've already done. I'm excited about all that this program has to offer and I look forward to the changes that I will see in my physique, energy and health. I anticipate success with my new transformation. I look forward to being a Coach, to encourage, motivate and go through this transformation together with others. I can help you get the results that you are looking for. Let's do this together!

Ever since I was 14 I became obsessed with the fear of getting fat! I've had my share of ups and downs. In my early 20's I was probably at my heaviest, about what I weigh now. In between that time I got my weight down, and when I got married, I was the thinnest I'd ever been. Even after having 2 kids the weight came back off. Once I started working at this one restaurant that fed us at the end of our shifts, that late night eating slowly added on the pounds. This late night eating, along with my obsession to gorge on sweets, helped create my midsection problem area and my "thunder thighs". I've always enjoyed bicycling, and in 2003 took up running. In spite of all my physical activity I couldn't counter my food intake. When I set July 10 as my start date, I became more and more mentally prepared to change my eating and exercise routines. This Fourth of July I ran the Peachtree 10k in Atlanta and during the whole race my inner thighs were rubbing against each other. Every step of the 6.2 miles of the race I thought of my excess weight that would soon be gone, never to return. I'm committed to tranforming my body once and for all. I'm a nurse and I believe in the importance of health and love the fact that being healthy is the new "cool" type of behavior for so many people. I'm ready to make the change that I've half heartedly worked on for so many years. I want to get my weight to where it should be and move on without obsessing about it anymore. I feel that the community at Beachbody.com can help me in this endeavor and that I will achieve my goals. Along with reaching my own goals I can help others reach their goals too.
