Hello everyone! I've just became a member of the team and am excited to get started. I've lost 110 lbs over the last 2 years give or take (you may know how that goes), but have managed to lose that extra person. I still have about 40 lbs to go and can't wait! I'm a single mom of 3 boys, a financial consultant and founder of a professional business women's network. I live in the Charlotte area

Well I'd have to say that after having 3 boys and going through a divorce I'd managed to pack on quite a bit of weight. 5'4 and 245 lbs. I guess one day I just woke up and said this is enough.  More ...
Well I'd have to say that after having 3 boys and going through a divorce I'd managed to pack on quite a bit of weight. 5'4 and 245 lbs. I guess one day I just woke up and said this is enough. Enough, crying and feeling sorry for myself. I could do better and I knew it. So I started by going to LA weight loss where I immediately droped 45 pounds. They teach you how to eat, what to eat and why you're eating it. I lost the initial 100+/- pounds using their system, although I stopped going to their facility after 3 months. I owned a home with a pool at the time, so I swam laps everyday and went to the YMCA to lift weights. Later I added Kathy Smiths Salsa dance aerobic video to the mix. I love to dance so that workout was easy for me. It makes you sweat like crazy and it's fun. I've continued to exercise but must admit that life does get in the way sometimes. It's a matter of realizing it when it happens and taking the correct measures to get back on track and stay with it. I'm ready for that now. I've gained alittle back and was never truly down to the weight and size I desired to be. So, I purchased Hip Hop Abs and received it just the other day. I've filled out all the charts, started the 6 day Challenge today and doing great. My workout is scheduled for 645 and I can't wait. 40 pounds to go and counting. Maybe alittle more, we'll see. My future plans include the Jillian Michaels cardio/weight training dvd's, she really kicks it up and the entire Hip Hop Abs series which I just recently ordered and am awaiting the dvds arrival. I can't wait to get started with that. I am a true lover of dancing and have been told that I've got the moves so this ought to be fun and really work up a sweat.
