Hello! My name is Lauren, and I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Duquesne University where I studied both Advertising/PR and Digital Media. I am also a group fitness instructor with certifications from AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) and ACE (American Council on Exercise), and I have training in Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle, PiYo, and a few other formats. Transformation story

I have been involved in fitness since I was very young! Growing up, I loved
being active. I danced, cheered, and played a few different sports for fun. I
was generally a healthy person, More ...
I have been involved in fitness since I was very young! Growing up, I loved
being active. I danced, cheered, and played a few different sports for fun. I
was generally a healthy person, until I hit a bump in the road during my
senior year of high school. Stress from school brought on some health issues
and a thyroid imbalance that had me feeling pretty sick for about a year. As
a result of a combination of health problems, I ended up at least 20 pounds
lighter with no energy or strength. I slept A LOT and was no longer my usual
happy, active self. Being sick and missing out on the things I looked forward
to in my senior year led me into a depression that lasted a while after my
health problems were cleared up. Even though I no longer felt sick, I still
lacked the energy, motivation, and self-confidence I’d had before.


It was during my freshman year of college, while I was still struggling to get
back to my old self, that I saw a Turbo Jam ® infomercial. Thus began my
transformation and newfound passion for fitness! I found a lot of different
programs at Beachbody that are really great workouts! However, it was Turbo
Jam® in particular that captured my interest. Chalene’s positive attitude and
energy motivated me to continue pushing play every day. Getting myself
moving again made such a difference in my mood! I looked forward to
working out to every day, and I noticed a change not only in my outlook on
life but in my body and energy level as well. I got back to a healthy weight
for me, and I got back my strength plus some! I am stronger now than I have
ever been! However, I am still working toward staying committed to a
healthy, balanced diet. My family loves to bake, and I have a serious sweet
tooth! I want to stick to a diet that will help me to be my healthiest,
strongest self.


After getting hooked on Turbo, I found myself venturing out into the Group
Fitness arena, which has continued to bring so many positive things into my
life. I have truly grown as a person because of it and have met a lot of
wonderful people through my fitness endeavors. It is these positive people
and experiences that led me to become a Beachbody Coach. I know how
many wonderful things have come into my life because of fitness, and this is
something I want to share with others! I want to help people become
healthier by finding workouts they really love doing and can stick to, as well
as a balanced diet that is realistic. With so many food options and
contributors to stress, I know it can be hard to stay on the right track.
Staying committed to a healthy lifestyle is something that we must work at
each day. My goal is to help others reap the benefits of a healthier lifestyle
while continuing to adopt healthier habits myself! A strong support system is
SO helpful in staying committed to fitness. Let’s work together toward being
/ staying fit! I’d love to be part of your support system along the way!
