The beginning #1:

I got about 4/5 of the way through P90X in Fall '06 but had to stop because life got in the way and I didn't make it a priority. So I got out of shape (though I did lose some weight during my "off" period. I should write a book entitled "The Law School Diet: Drop 10 Lbs in 14 Days!")

The beginning #2:

I've kept in general good health the last few years, but have never really pushed myself to be super fit and healthy. In particular, I find it hard to stay motivated to eat well, even though I don't like what I see when I look in the mirror. I don't eat a lot of junk food or anything; I just don't have a very balanced diet (could use some more veggies) and could work on the portion control. As for the exercise, one of my goals is to be able to increase my running mileage and eventually compete in a half-marathon, but I've been stuck around the 4-mile mark for a few years now.

I look forward to making positive changes in my life and lifestyle. :)

My plan is to do a modified version of P90X combined with TJ in the mornings (once it arrives in the mail) and running on the weekends. The modification entails doing legs/chest (instead of back) twice per week, chest/shoulders/arms once per week, and going to the gym for about 15 minutes twice a week to get in my back workouts. Don't ask why -- it's complicated. ;)
