I have been a struggling athlete most of my adult life. I try hard and play hard and have fun doing it. I play softball, basketball, and fiddle with golf and even with all the exercise that provides, More ...
I have been a struggling athlete most of my adult life. I try hard and play hard and have fun doing it. I play softball, basketball, and fiddle with golf and even with all the exercise that provides, I never felt buff or really in shape. I have tried Atkins and other fad-ish type things to try for an easy way out but it never stuck.

My wife and I decided to try P90X and from the beginning we were committed to "Bring It". I have every excuse in the book to quit or not even start: I have two young children (4yrs and 5 mths), I have lots of injuries (Rotator Cuff Surgery, Pins in a finger, and most recently ACL repair a year ago), and I have a demanding job that can have me at work 10-12 hours some times.

In the end, we felt we could make it 90 days and we just kept pressing play. We worked out at all hours including 9:30 at night and 4:30 in the morning. I am in the best shape I have ever been in and owe it all to the program and my fantastic partner.
I am down 27 pounds, I am going to have to take my pants to the tailor or they will fall off. My knee feels great thanks to the yoga. Now that 90 days is up we are headed to INSANITY. So check me in 60 days and we'll see what that program does.
