I have 5 children. I have been a dancer most of my life. I was running distance when one of my knees started giving me trouble. I have taught aerobics, but I like taking class better that teaching. I have started yoga and LOVE IT! It takes me back to my roots of dancing (body alignment, posture, etc.) I am not getting any younger and would like to remain active and strong for as long as possible.

After my fourth child I was approx. 3o lbs heavier than I wanted to be. When my Dad passed away I decided to get back into shape. I started a diet plan that was low on starches and high in protein, but had plenty of fruits and veggies. There were no pre-packaged meals so I was able to learn how to cook and eat right. I was already doing aerobics 3X a week, so I kicked it up a notch and did it 5-6 days and started to incorporate weights into the workouts. I lost 35lbs in approx. 3 months. I loved wearing jeans again! And still do. I was also able to lose the weight from my last baby quicker than ever.
