I've been married for 21 years, raised 2 daughters, Jessica currently 17 and a senior in high school and Victoria who would be 21 in March (she passed away suddenly at the age of 18 after graduating from high school - she had a flesh eating bacteria / sepsis). I've always exercised and have always struggled to keep the weight off, but was always able to maintain an average of 125 lbs. It seems that after Victoria's passing, my weight just kept going up and no matter what I do, I can't lose the weight and keep it off.
I am employed part time for a company that i've been with for 11 years (I first worked for them for 8 years, left for 4 years to pursue other interests and returned 3 years ago after my bosses moved to the mainland (I live in Hawaii). I have a pretty good life, work out in the mornings, go to work around lunch time and get home between 6 & 7 pm. My job is not stressful (for the most part)and I enjoy life. I enjoy exercising, socializing, spending time w/family and friends. I also enjoy fine wines (which is my biggest downfall in the weight loss game).
I've tried many diets, diet pills, exercise programs, etc. I've even done the fastings and the cleanses, detoxes, etc. I find that when I do these things (fasting, etc.) I just gain the weight back and more. Sticking to a program is where I'm challenged. I joined L.A. Weight loss recently and although it's not a hard plan to follow, I often find myself drifing and eating "bad".
Not until recently did I start having the belly bulge or should I say the muffin top that I so Hate! As I look at my old photo's where I always thought I was "FAT", I realized that I was in pretty good shape up until about 5 years ago and today, I can't believe that I'm at the weight I'm at. I've always taken care of myself, but somehow it seems the pounds keep piling on no matter what I do.
