I am a 52 year old woman. I live in Florida and work out of my home.

I began putting on weight in my thirties, but the past few years have really packed on the pounds. This is due to several reasons. One of which, my metabolism has slowed with age, but primarily because I have had 3 back surgeries over a 5 year period, all trying to fix the same problem. Each back failure, surgery and recovery

My first month with Hip Hop Abs, I lost 10 lbs, and definetely had stronger abs.

I just completed my first month with P90X. I have lost another 5 lbs and am definitely stronger. My knees and ankles have stopped hurting, my endurance has increased as well as my energy level. It is tough work getting my body back into shape, but the results are definitely worth it.

Getting back into shape isn’t easy. The first week, I had trouble keeping up with the video and I was definitely out of breath. I could hear my lungs wheezing as they weren’t accustomed to taking such deep breaths. But I lowered the movements in the routine to ones I could handle and kept moving the entire time. By the end of the first week, I was able to keep up with the video without the wheezing sound when I took deep breaths. My back muscles also went into shock the first week. My back hurt for a few days as the muscles were shocked by my new found activity, but as they’ve recovered and strengthened, I can tell I am standing up straighter and taller. No back pain to report!

People around me have begun to notice my weight loss and I even had one friend comment on how healthy I was looking. I am so stoke. I am feeling so much better and stronger. Daily routines are easier to handle such as carrying groceries, take the garbage out to the curb, etc. I am sleeping better and I have more energy. My improved food choices, exercise and nutritional supplements are affecting my entire appearance which includes my mental and physical state of being. I am so excited about the possibilities as I continue to progress toward my goal. Thank you Beach Body!
