Woodland, CA My name is Mandy. I'm a 37 year old wife and mother. I have an 8 year old son and a 6 year old daughter. I am a busy real estate consultant, working 40-50 hours every week. Ever since I became a Realtor, I have struggled to find balance in my life, juggling all roles with little time left for me. Fitness took a back burner to everything else.

I am a busy real estate consultant, working 40-50 hours every week. Ever since I became a Realtor, I have struggled to find balance in my life, juggling all roles with little time left for me. Fitness took a back burner to everything else.
In January, I worked with my friend, business coach, and life coach, Joe Stumpf, to choose integral living. He shared that by choosing an integral approach to life, I would live a more balanced and inclusive life that fulfills me in all important areas. In order to do so, I chose to take a lot of time and energy evaluating, examining, creating goals in, and changing habits in the NINE KEY AREAS OF MY LIFE: Intellectual, Emotional, Financial, Physical, Professional, Environmental, Recreation, Family and Social Network, and Spiritual. One by One!
What I discovered is that in order to make good choices then create and stick to new habits (that's the hard part), I had to discover what my core values and goals were. Since I am here because of my physical goals, I will share my work in that area.
At the surface, my goal was just to get into shape. As I explored, I found that I wanted to look good, be healthy, feel healthy, etc. The more I questioned (yes, there is a method for this), the deeper my values and goals were. In the core, I want to be in shape because I will be stronger physically which will fuel my feeling stronger emotionally and I will be a model of that combined strength to my children.
Imagine, if I had stopped at the surface with wanting to look better or feel better. I can promise you, I would NOT still be exercising today. I think that is why most people stop... They don't know their core values and goals around fitness. Think about it, how could I possibly stop exercising and NOT model physical and emotional strength to my children. I can't quit!
So, I created a plan for getting into shape. And, I tried the gym. OH MY GOSH...MORE CHAOS! OK, to even get there I had to get the kids ready to go, get small items for them to take to the gym gathered, get myself dressed and ready to go, get the kids loaded into the car, drive to the gym, get everyone out of the car, get the kids checked into kids camp, workout for 30 minutes, and then...do the whole process in reverse. It, literally, took over 2 hours to work out for 30 minutes. OH NO, THAT IS NOT GOING TO WORK IN THIS LADY'S SCHEDULE! Plan B, I found a personal trainer to come to my house twice a week (EXPENSIVE) for strength building and set my TiVo for exercise shows that I did for cardio. As I searched for exercise shows, I stumbled on Hip Hop Abs... and decided to try it out. Up until a few weeks ago, I was Hip Hop Abs three to four days a week, and trainer two.
Then, my friend Angie emailed me and her signature line included a beachbody website. Curiosity got me, and I found THIS!
Imagine, a million or so people JUST LIKE ME! People that look to each other for inspiration, give each other motivation, and are choosing a better physical life. And, by doing so, choosing a beautiful life!
I'm here. I'm doing it for me. And, I'm doing it so my kids will know what strength really is... strength on the inside fueled by that on the outside.
