Worland, WY I am a wife, mother and grandmother that used to be in fairly good shape. About 15 years ago, my husband and I made a career change where it wasn't possible for me to get the kind of exercise that I was used to and needed. Before our change, girlfriend and I worked at different jobs so after work, we would get together and walk about 4 miles a day telling each other about our days as well I am a wife, mother and grandmother that used to be in fairly good shape. About 15 years ago, my husband and I made a career change where it wasn't possible for me to get the kind of exercise that I was used to and needed. Before our change, girlfriend and I worked at different jobs so after work, we would get together and walk about 4 miles a day telling each other about our days as well as blowing off steam, complaining, talking about the kids...whatever. We had a particular route and rarely drifted from that route. I also exercised to videos at home and joined exercise groups at the local Recreation Center. Then, after my husband and my career change, we left our comfort zone and found a job where we traveled all the time. We did this for 2 years and since we didn't know where we were going to be next it was very difficult to get any consistent exercise plan going. After 2 years and 35 lbs. later, we regrouped again but didn't go back to our old home town. The kids were all grown and on their own so we moved to a lower altitude and started all over. Since then, I have tried to lose the 35 lb. that I put on during that 2 year time frame but being older, not having the same drive, and not having that really good friend to confide in as well as walk with, I have stumbled and fallen so many times. My weight is about the only thing in my life that I am not happy with and I am embarrassed by the way I look. It has definitely affected my quality of life and my attitude to make new friends. I know people that have lost 35-60 lb. but they are not in any better shape than they were when they were heavier, they are just lighter...I want to get in shape, be in shape and look like I'm in shape. I'm tired of wearing baggy clothes and being embarrassed to "get out there and live"! I've acquired several Beachbody exercise video's and I'm committing myself to exercise every day, stay positive and get in "the best shape of my life" and I'm starting today, 4/10/2011!
