Hi, Im 21yrs old and newly married. Weight has been something i've struggled with. I've tried a bunch of
different workouts and diets but nothing has worked out in the long hall. I
did pilates and turbo jam and lost over 50 pounds. But old ways die hard, i
started to slack off, distracted with planning a wedding i now have regained
20 pounds. But I have a new determination to a better life

I was a shy kid growing up didn't have many friends,so food became my friend. I started gaining weight when i was 10. We moved to kansas when i was 13 from Texas and by that time my weight had reached More ...
I was a shy kid growing up didn't have many friends,so food became my friend. I started gaining weight when i was 10. We moved to kansas when i was 13 from Texas and by that time my weight had reached my all time high of 195. I couldn't believe it, I was just starting my teen years and I was already almost 200lbs! I knew i had to do something but my real motivation was when I saw a picture of myself at a friends wedding, i looked like a big blue blob.

I went to my doctors office fo a reg check up and she told me about this program that they have for youths. At the beginning they paid us 25 dollars and at the end they would pay you another 25 dollars if you finished the program. I really enjoyed it, because they educated us on healthy eating habits, exercising and the diseases you are at risk for being overweight.By that losing weight was important to me not only because i would better but cause of my health. I was pretty healthy for weight but I knew both my parents and one of my siblings have diabetes. Not my mother has a history of strokes, high blood pressure and sleep apnea. So I knew i had a higher risk for getting these diseases. By the end of the program I had lost 20lbs and was feeling great and was in LOVE with exercising.

I started doing pilates, slim in 6, P90 and later found turbo jam. I had always had trouble with my back and really couldn't do to many exercises on my back so turbo jam was great for me. In 2004 my mother had to have brain surgery which left her part blind in both eyes and short term memory. Long story short she has never been the same.And I started having a lot of touble with my stomach and it got to the point where all i could eat was applesauce, cheese and crackers. So sticking to the program of eating healthy and exercising became harder to do. But weirdly enough exercising was the only thing that relieved stomach and everthing really, so i stuck to it. I lost another 32lbs, i went from 195 to 138. I was so proud of myself i had finally reached my goal and it felt great.

I kept for the weight for over 2yrs but after i got married i started having lots of touble with my stomach again. It so bad where i could keep anything down and i would go for days without eating anything. So when i could eat most of tiime it wasn't that healthy. So 20lbs creaped back on to my body. I'm so dissapointed because i promised myself that i would not let myself get back there. But i finally found out that i have a hiatal hernia and now on meds and feeling better.

I started doing chalene extream because i wanted to get back into lifting weights and i love it. I know that with the support of my family and chalene i can get back to where was, hopefully even better. My eating habits still need work but i know i can do it because i've done it before.
