I am happily married with three wonderful kids ages 19, 11 and 7. I am a graduate of a court reporting school in Southern Califonia and scheduled to take my exam in July. Currently I work part-time in the insurance industry. But my family is priority. I have exercised on and off my entire life, but it was always a struggle; I never really found anything I enjoyed doing until I found Turbo Jam.

When I was pregnant I found that I really enjoyed eating and I justified the extra calories because I was eating for two. Well after having my daughter, I lost all but 10lbs of the weight I gained, and I never lost it. I was always too busy with my step-son and the new baby to workout or eat right. This was duplicated with the next pregnancy. I tried working out but I would get depressed when I didn't see immediate results and would stop. My eating patterns didn't change so I gained more weight. I didn't realize that fitness is a journey and a learning process. I have learned so much from Chalene Johnson and I truly believe in her program. One of the most valuable things I learned was to have fun while working out because you will stick with it. About 2 1/2 years ago I started doing Turbo Jam and I was immediately addicted. I loved it so much I got certified to teach. After a few weeks of working out I started to notice little changes in my body, my attitude and my confidence. My eating patterns were still a problem. I would either eat too many calories, mostly by going out to eat or I would not eat enough. My metabolism didn't know what to do. I now carefully watch what I eat, count calories and I have added Beachbody's protein shakes into my diet. I have, in the last six to eight months, started lifting heavy weights;I now see muscle definition (of course I want more) and improved strength. I used to dread pushups. Well, I can't say I love them, but I can proudly say I can do them.
