Hi. My name is Melissa, I am married to my husband Ken and I have three boys from a previous marriage. I have always considered myself "Pleasently Plump". The doctors call me a healthy overweight person. I don't know what that is suppose to mean, but whatever. I was always "chunky" as a kid and matured young, if you know what I mean. After each child I lost half of what I gained. So after my third child I weighed an astonishing 270 lbs. I realized that was way to much weight for my 5 foot tall frame. I joined Weight Watchers and had great success, I lost 110 lbs in 13 months. I also went through a divorce, that helped. I tend to not eat when I am stressed. I have yo yo dieted for many years, never really keeping the weight off. I have tried every way to lose weight from pills, to starving myself, to even having liposuction. Then last year I got engaged and had to fit into a wedding dress. YIKES!! I didn't want to have a photographer because I did not want to see myself in pictures. I went to Lindora Medical in November of 2006, with a wedding in Jan 2007, I knew I had my work cut out for me. I dropped 25 pounds. the difference ? I learned that NUTRITION and EXCERISE together would make the difference. I am now down 50 pounds from this same time last year. I am excited about MDB, because it will make working out FUN, and people understand where I have been. I also have three boys that need to stay active, especially in this day and age of video games. I am excited for my family to take this journey with me. Hold on it is going to be a GREAT ride !!
