My name is Melissa and I'm 29 years old. I've always been unhappy with my body and never enjoyed working out or running until recently. I've been married to my bestfriend for almost 7 years and am a mommy to two beautiful little girls.

Before getting pregnant with my first daughter, my husband and I joined weight watchers and we were both pretty successful at it. We had been trying to get pregnant for about two years when we finally succeeded in May of 2005. I gained all the weight I lost through WW back (and then some) when I was pregnant with Payton. After I had Payton I lost the majority of my pregnancy weight and then gained it back after I stopped breastfeeding. When Payton was almost a year old, I started to workout through Stroller Strides and was in the best shape of my life. I completed a 5k (for the first time) and was content but not excited about my body. Then I got pregnant with my second daughter shortly after completing my 5k. I didn't gain much weight at all due to working out through out my pregnancy. After I delived, I gained about 10 extra pounds, which put me 20 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight. I dealt with post-partum depression and I think that me not being happy with my body was a big contributor.

I've had high blood pressure since I was 20 and I'm hoping if I lose enough weight and get healthy enough, maybe I can quit taking those little pills!

I recently added P90X and I'm looking forward to what the future has in store!
