I am 35 years old and married with two wonderful step children. When I was growing up, I never had an issue with weight. I could eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. And I did. I grew up on Chef Boyardee and Fast Food and loved it! In my early twenties, I was told, "when you turn 30, everything will change". That person was right. I could eat whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. And I did. I grew up on Chef Boyardee and Fast Food and loved it! In my early twenties, I was told, "when you turn 30, everything will change". That person was right. Luckily for me, I had met Nick, my husband, who was always into health and fitness. When we met, I was a smoker, drinker and "heavy partier" Soon after, I joined a gym (and actually used the memebership) and got a personal trainer who pushed me so hard that I really started seeing results. I liked the way I felt and was able to quit smoking cold turkey. I also toned down the drinking and late nights. Shortly after Nick and I got married, he had double disk replacement in his neck and after a life of running (4 marathons and 13 1/2 marathons) had to start over. I had always wanted to run and thought, "if I'm ever going to do this, the time is now". He and I trained for my first 5K in only a month and then 7 months after that we ran my first 1/2 marathon. Six months later, I completed my first and he his fifth marathon. The hardest part for me has always been my eating habits. I love anything that is bad for me and it has been really difficult cutting out the bad and bringing in the good. We try to stick to a 1 "cheat meal" rule a week and it works. That way, I don't feel as deprived. I know I can save up and have something I really love once per week.

I found out about Beachbody, specifically P90X from a coworker who had ordered the program from the infomercial. I went online and what sold me was the success story pictures. Many times I have seen before and after pictures that are so extreme I've thought, "there is no way this product changed this person so drastically. This picture has to be doctored". The people who were featured on the P90X website already looked in shape in the before pictures (like me). In the after pictures, they were cut up (like I wanted to be). I knew this was the program for me. I told my husband about it and we ordered. We are now in round 3, phase 3 of the Clasic program and the progress has really made me happy and proud. I can tell a huge difference in my muscle tone and leaness and know there is more to come.
