I love working out, baseball (GO MARINERS!), traveling, marine biology, swimming in the ocean, surfing, Vogue “I like long walks on the beach and dancing in the moonlight”… just kidding. My name is Lauren Malamala (most friends call me “Mala”) and I am a singer/song-writer. Although breaking into the music industry and starting my career is my top priority, I have many… MANY other interests. I love working out, baseball (GO MARINERS!), traveling, marine biology, swimming in the ocean, surfing, Vogue magazine, learning about other cultures, books by Augusten Burroughs, girly cocktails, and getting involved with charities that support third-world countries (especially children). I was born in Hawaii, lived in Seattle, and spent four years living in London while I went to university for an international business degree. My time spent in Europe has been the most influential period of my life thus far, as I’ve met people from all over the globe who have all contributed to broadening my perspective on life and how it should be lived. There’s no reason not to aim high, there’s no reason to ever settle, and there’s no reason to blend in. Life is too short for that. Think BIG, do MORE, and be HAPPY! :)

Sports and dance have always been part of my life, but I've always struggled with a "yo-yo-ing" scale. Since working out with the Beachbody programs, my fitness level is through the roof and I'm finding definition in muscles I never knew I had. The best part? At my last doctor's appt I found out that my blood pressure is lower than average (in a good way), my cholesterol/sugar/and sodium levels are all low, and I have next to no risk of any cardiac problems. Not too bad, if I do say so myself ;) Working out teaches you about discipline, balance, wellness, and overall health-- and if you ask me, those are all the ingredients for major success in life, no matter what your goals are. Whether you need to lose 100 pounds or just maintain your weight, I'm here to help and support you, just as Team Beachbody has done for me.
