I am a 33 year old mother of two (6 and 4). I've been married for 7 years. I am an Instructional Assistant in a Special Education classroom, and I sell Avon (I love Avon!). In my spare time I like working out, watching T.V. (mostly reality shows), online shopping, and keeping up with my friends on Facebook and Cafemom. I'm also trying to teach myself how to sew, lol.

As a teen and young adult, I was always very small with a fast metabolism. I could eat whatever I wanted, not workout, and still not gain weight. However, after having my first child, I gained a lot of weight that has been very hard for me to lose. I destroyed my metabolism through a lot of crash dieting (I've tried everything from the lemonade diet, to the cabbage soup diet, to the cookie diet, to some of the meal delivery programs). What has worked for me is sticking to foods high in fiber and protein, eating mostly whole grains, eating lots of veggies, and eating five to six small meals a day. Adding weights to my workout routine has also helped me to shed lbs. I workout with weights 3 days a week, and do cardio 2. My workouts always include abs, of course. My favorite workout is Kickboxing because it burns a lot of calories, and it's a good workout for your abs.
