I am a Northern California native and Aggie Alumni, turned Georgia Peach (since 2000), recently married with 1 sweet, 7 year old stepdaughter. After I married the man of my dreams in September 2005, I ate because I was happy, and it began to show all over my body. Within a year's time, I gained, my husband gained, my stepdaughter gained, we all gained weight. I was the heaviest (close to 150 lbs) that I've ever been in my life but my husband loved all the "junk in my trunk" just the same. The downside to all the weight gain on a small 5'4" frame was irritability, sluggishness, continual sleepiness, and out right depression from not being able to fit into clothes. I was starting to hate leaving the house, and I was becoming a complacent couch potato. I believe I was starting to resemble a sack of potatoes too. My weight has not been very stable; I had tinkled on and off with exercise and fitness during my high school years, college, and before I had gotten married. I played softball in high school, took weight training, power walking, and tennis in college, and had various gym memberships throughout my adult life. I would work really hard for a little while, then just stop after finding an exceptable excuse. It was definitely time for me to find an exercise regimen that I could stick with on a permanent basis, afterall, I am a Credit Counselor who works within a cubicle, and is on the computer during during the week. I love my job, but unwanted and unforseen weight seems to creep up quicker with this type of occupation.

This is my first "complete" Beachbody exerience. I've ordered BeachBody products in 2003. I guess I wasn't ready for the challenge back then because after reading over the program, I ended up returning all the products after 1 week. I didn't open the DVDs, tryout the resistance bands, or take the supplements. A mental and physical breakthrough was in order - I gained a lot of weight after I married. I should not be this young, and look or feel this old!! I saw a familiar BeachBody informerical, read the message boards, read the testimonials, researched and compared programs, and Power90 was my solution! I was so excited when I received those DVDs! I started my Power90 journey this year, 08/21/2006, the day before my 31st birthday and haven't looked back! This cardio/weight-training boot camp is just the style of exercise that I needed to shock my mind and body! Now my husband is enjoying the benefits too - he enjoys the new "sexy" me! I have seen great results in my 30 days - I look forward to WOWY, and can even wakeup in mornings (never was an "early bird"). I've lost several inches around the waist and hips, lost some pounds, gained strength and energy, and I've eliminated some old weakness (sugar-sweetened juices, fried foods, candy, pastries, cakes, and dinner rolls). I've also decided that I will definitely purchase other BeachBody exercise programs in the future.
01/27/2006 UPDATE (for my WOWY Buddies): I've had a work shift change by request of my husband, and since 01/08/07, I am no longer working those 10 hr shifts, for 4 days a week. I now work a regular Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm shift. This means a couple of unpleasant things: 1. I can no longer workout (WO) in the mornings except on weekends (Unfortunately, I have to wake up at 5am to get ready for work). 2. I can only WO before I go to bed (which is now between 9pm-10pm). This work schedule and WO change has recked havoc on my sleep patterns, and my body is still trying to adjust. After doing the "mommy" chores, I do WO faithfully, but I don't get a chance to log-on to WOWY like I used to because of computer limitations (We only have one computer that has internet access at this time) and my husband is usually doing business on the computer at the time of my WO's. I haven't forgotten about you all and I miss my morning WO's!! :o( I will work to do better with WOWY log-ins and checking beachbody emails.
