Im a dad, husband, and office worker (cad tech at an engineering company) that sits around on the computer all day.
When I met my wife in 1999, I was introduced to the amazing wonder that is mexican food I gained a lot of weight fast, like 60lbs in a year and went from 140 lbs my high school/early college wegiht 200lbs. We were married in 2003 and by then I was pretty big at least 200 then in 2004-2005, when my wife got pregnant I gained baby weight and never lost it.
Now my body is uncomfortable for me to be in, I am trying to educate myself to be able make the correct changes, that will last for a lifetime.
I am trying to get in shape for my kids and to motivate some of my overweight friends and family members. I have a lot of back pain and leg pain and I am only 30 years old. I also have some problems with kidney stones, anxiety and depression that have started these past 3 years.. and it only seems to be getting worse.
Sometimes I act like I am 40 because of my physical issues. When I play with Isabel my daughter, and Ethan my son they get me winded way too fast and I don't want to be that dad sitting on the sidelines watching her life pass me by.
I am generally lazy and have many excuses to why I should not work out and eat healthy I need kick in the right direction from people that have been like me in the past and went above and beyond to change their body.
I was trying to tie my shoes the other day and I could not breathe and tie my shoes at the same time, something to do with the fat distribution of the bending down crushed my windpipe or something it was a terrible feeling, I could not breathe. Then I got a little light headed and winded and just felt like I was old and fat..
That's when I decided it was FINALLY time to do something about it. February 1st 2011 seems like a good enough day to start so I am going to go for it and try to make some positive changes.

In 2004 or 2005 I bought P90 off an infomercial after seeing Tony Horton jumping around, I was very motivated to change and what happened when it arrived it went to the closet in a box. It sat in my closet for years.. finally in 2007 I started working out and did 65 days of p90, working out almost every day I had good results but my eating was very bad, so the results were not as good as they could have been.
Even with only good effort at the workout and bad eating I felt stronger, looked better and had a new sense of energy.
I made the mistake of stopping my workout on a much needed family vacation, when I came back I never started back up. I stopped working out, I stopped almost all physical activity and I started drinking soda again, and too much fast food.
Since then I have had several rounds of kidney stones, back aches, hospitalizations, constant headaches, and now am very dependent on soda. I have a problem with motivation and I am trying to work on that. Sometime in 2009 I went into a depression and it has been hanging around for a while now.
Now its 2011 and my brother Mark has a motivation that I used to know, and he is now a coach, I decided to start back up on the workouts and when I am ready to be a coach myself.
Hopefully I can get some great results and see some success at working out and the beach body lifestyle.
