Today is Friday Sept. 11th 2009 and it's the first day of the rest of my life. I finally received my package yesterday as I anxiously waited for it to arrive.

You see, I'm a 39 year old single mother of 2 (daughter 22 and son 8) wonderful children and I recently welcomed my 14 year old sister as well. I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY and relocated to Maryland going on 3 years next month.

Today is Friday Sept. 11th 2009 and it's the first day of the rest of my life. I finally received my package yesterday as I anxiously waited for it to arrive.

You see, I'm a 39 year old single mother of 2 (daughter 22 and son 8) wonderful children and I recently welcomed my 14 year old sister as well. I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY and relocated to Maryland going on 3 years next month.

I don't recall always struggling with my weight; however, at about the age of 26, I started to become aware of my then size 12 frame. You see, I'm what some would call "A FOODIE!" I love food, but not just any food .... Good Food. I'm not big on sweets, snacks or stuff like that other than on occassions, but give me a good meal; and I'm happy. I was raised by my grandparents on a farm; so food was plentiful. I've never been deprived of food as it was always my grandmothers way of bringing the family together. My weaknesses are Mexican, Spanish, Caribbean and Seafood. So you see, it's sort of in my genes.

Fast forward abit to my life now. I love to cook. And I love to see people enjoy my food. Slowly but surely, my passion for food has begun to catch up to me over the years. I moved to Maryland in 2006 weighing in at 190. I was content with this weight although I would've preferred to be around 175. Here we are now in 2009; three years later and I now weigh 250 lbs. I don't know what happened!! Well I guess my lifestyle change may have something to do with it. I live in the suburbs and other than taking my son to the bus stop and going to work, I pretty much have become a couch potatoe. With no true regimen or workout schedule, it was bound to catch up too me sooner or later.

I've been seeing this infomercial for quite some time now. And on the morning of Sept. 4th, I finally gave in and said; "Let me at least give it a try!" What's the worst that could happen? So I pulled out my cc and took the first step.

I was so anxious, that I immediately signed up online for the services provided. It feels really good to be apart of something that's bigger than myself with the hopes of transforming my outside appearance to reflect what's on the inside.
