My Photos | ooil Cedar Springs, MI I am a 48 year old mother of two considerate teenagers, married for 21 years to a very "patient" man. I have tried many diets and exercise programs in the past only to take one step forward and 2 steps back! I think you know what I mean! I love to garden, cook, sew, do craftwork, artwork and I like to try to be frugal. In the past I have done accounting, upholstery, cake-decorating, making wedding dresses, laying tiles (I am the handyman at home), leading a homeschool group and I love working with children of all ages. I consider being a mother the most important-and rewarding-of all my jobs! Which leads me to the fact that I am an "Unschooler". I am not sure you want me to get started on this topic here! I will never shut up! It is my passion. So, just a tidbit here...I truly believe that children learn best by first having an interest in what they are doing. I DO NOT believe children "truly" learn by being coerced into learning. A child's "curiosity" is the motivater. You cannot stop the curious child from learning! You can see this very well in children under 5 years old. I only hope that schools do not crush their curiosity with boredom. It is difficult for many people to comprehend, but their childhood was filled with coercion to make them learn, and it seems to most people that "that-way-of-learning" was good for them and it will work for all children. What, have you learned as an adult, since you have been out of school, and how did you learn it? You certainly did not gain the passion to learn them by someone forcing you to learn. As an A/B student, upon leaving high school, I was glad to "not have to learn anymore". I no longer liked to read for pleasure. Does that sound familiar with some teens you know? Upon taking our children out to homeschool in middle school, my husband said, "I certainly do not want to learn that stuff all over again! It was no fun the first time." Upon hearing of Unschooling, it seemed natural and necessary. I now have 2 nearly grown kids who can think for themselves, with common sense and understand much of the "real world" by living in it. They do not stop learning in the summer, evenings or weekends. Learning MUST be fun. (Ask me about unschooling, if you have an interest-I have tons of info.) EEK! They asked me for my interests and I gave it. Don't hold it against me! But, I can tell you as an adult, that is how I learned ALL of my hobbies and interests. If not for my curiosity to gain new information, I would not have been so intense in learning about nutrition (another passion of mine, now). I still have much more to learn, but that knowledge has helped me tremendously with this program! I would love to share it with you! This program has definitely created, in me, an interest in my health! Though I have had good days and bad ones, I will stick with it. Improving our health is a lifetime commitment. I am hooked! So, there you have it! Best wishes in your future! Love your children! My Progress My fitness goal: Transformation story

Looking at those pictures, I still have a long way to go, but I am determined to stick with it! In the before picture, those pants WERE holding my stomach in! I thought a jacket might help cover up some of my other imperfections. HA! Reality sets in when you see yourself in a photo! But, I am pleased with the progress I have made so far. There is so much great support at this site and I have made some lasting friendships here! Coming to these message boards is crucial in keeping the motivation going. I will help anyone as much as I can. Weighing in at the doctor's office at 200 pounds was the last straw! I started this program with arthritis in the knees, elbows, shoulders and hands. I had a sciatic nerve problem and Plantar Fasciitis in my feet. I still have the arthritis, but the pain has been eased tremendously by the exercise and stretching. The pain in my hip from the sciatic nerve is loosened up so much that I barely notice it and the plantar fasciitis is only noticeable on occasion. I no longer use a knee brace or the orthotics! I said goodbye to my Celebrex within 6 weeks of starting this program. I felt it was masking the pain I might be feeling and could possibly cause more injury. I am now using Cherry juice for inflammation instead (you'll have to ask me for details on this.) My first day of exercise, I could do only 3 (very lame) pushups! Now, on a good day, I can do 100!!! My lunges were a step that was about 1 foot out, with an "ow-ow-ow" in between each step. Now I can do the full lunges at about 40 per workout. Within ONE WEEK of starting this program, my whole body had loosened up and I felt so much new energy. Within 3 weeks, I could not believe how GOOD I felt and wondered why I had not found this program sooner. Now, the program is combined with a healthy diet, and haven't we always been told that diet and exercise is the key to good health? I consider them ONE word-"dietandexercise". They go together beautifully. I have lost around 25 pounds and 15 and 3/4 inches so far following this program. I have more energy, strength and a whole new outlook. A few good tips to aid in weight loss and a better well-being that have helped me the most are: cut back on the SUGAR, exercise 30 minutes per day, drink 8 glasses of water daily, do not eat 3 hours before going to bed, make healthier food choices, portion control, weigh yourself and take measurements before you start, take before photos, and post to these message boards. All of the above are necessary and are not that difficult, once you make them a habit. It is possible to form a new habit in about 3 weeks. Write down these tips and stick to them! Check out my favorite Message Board thread here for more tips and pictures of my progress. I am 48 years old and no other program has worked for me in the past. This one has changed my life! This is a change I will make for the rest of my life. It is unbelievable the progress that can be made in only 30 days! I was overwhelmed at what I had accomplished in 90 days! Before I started I was wearing size 18/20 pants, to be comfortable. Now I can fit into 14's!!! I am here to help anyone who desires it. In helping others, we help ourselves. That is why these message boards are so important to success. For just the price of this one program (plus I use the resistance bands along with the weights), I am able to do this program at home. No traveling, no yearly memberships to a health club, I do them when it is convenient for me (making sure I DO them 6 days a week) and I have access to great support here on my home computer! E-mail me anytime if you have any questions or comments. You will NEVER regret doing this program! Good Luck and have fun buying those new clothes in 3 months!
