White Plains, NY Back in May of 2009, I was involved in a pretty bad car accident where I suffered from herniated discs in both my neck and lower back - needless to say any exercise I was doing was put on hold.
Being a martial artist, I was unable to train and because of the nature of my injuries I was told it would be best to give it up - I was devastated and became very depressed.

Being a martial artist, I was unable to train and because of the nature of my injuries I was told it would be best to give it up - I was devastated and became very depressed.
With the combination of not working out and working a extremely sedentary job, I put on 30 plus pounds. I became lazy and would rather sit and relax than get up and exercise. Having been recently laid off, I re-evaluated my life as to what's important to me. Health, Family, Friends, Financial Independence, and time to just enjoy Life.
I realize now how that job took so much away from my personal time and more importantly my health.
It is time to start a new chapter in my life and the title of that chapter is Team Beachbody.
Having our first child this year, my wife and I want to be a good example to our son in all aspects of life. That includes health and fitness. Obesity in general is out of control, and sadly, childhood obesity is as well and it affects children in more ways than just physically. You have to lead by example and I, like every other parent out there only want the best for my child.
So if I can get healthy, have time to spend with my family / friends, and make money while doing it, all while being a positive example and helping others, well that to me is a win win situation.
It's not going to be an easy journey, but I am not alone here, which is what makes it so great.
I am here to help as well to learn so join me on this journey and lets all try to make better choices in living a healthier lifestyle.
