Hey everyone!! My name is Rachel and I'm fairly new to physical fitness in general. I've made several attempts at it throughout my life, but have never actually stuck with anything all the way to my goal. I am DETERMINED to change that now!

I've been overweight my whole life. I've never been very active and never really learned how to eat healthy. I grew up in a family that ate fast food and take-out for dinner most of the time. After More ...
I've been overweight my whole life. I've never been very active and never really learned how to eat healthy. I grew up in a family that ate fast food and take-out for dinner most of the time. After I got older and moved out, those eating habits went with me. I never really learned how to cook so when it came to finding ways to feed myself, I would go with what was fast and easy...grabbing some form of fast food or take-out for lunch AND dinner every day.

What really turned me around and made me want to make a change was when I saw "Super-Size Me." I realized that, while I wasn't eating McDonalds every day for every meal, I was doing something very similar by eating some form of fast food twice a day. It really opened my eyes to the damage I was doing to myself so, three days after watching that documentary, I called Jenny Craig and signed up.

That was on 11/1/06...today on 2/17/07, I've lost 25 pounds and am feeling SO MUCH BETTER!

I had done Slim in 6 a couple years ago when I wanted to lose some weight before a big trip I was going to go on. I did the whole SI6 program without much trouble - following it to the letter - and even did the 6-Day Express the week after to give myself an extra "boost." I also completed that program entirely "by the book." With that cycle of SI6 and the SDE, I lost a total of 13.5 lbs. But as soon as I got back from my trip, I also lost all motivation to keep the exercising up.

Jump ahead almost 2 years later...after starting with Jenny, I decided I wanted to bring SI6 back and began another cycle on 1/8/07. I put in 4 solid weeks, but halfway through the 5th week I fizzled out and ended up not completing the last week and a half.

However, I think I just need a change of pace and I'm hoping that Power 90 will be that for me. I am going to start Power 90 on 2/19/07 and am confident that with the help of the online community here through the messageboards and WOWY, I will have all the motivation I need to reach my goal!!
