Now that I have hit 40 I am even more determined to avoid the health issues of my parents and grandparents which include high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes. It's bad enough that I've been fighting Ulcerative Colitis for 15+ years and the weight gain associated with the medications typically prescribed. My goals are simple, keep the weight off, stay

My weight has always been an issue and my weight loss/health journey started a very long time ago. Unfortunately, my results were never completely satisfactory. Then in 2007 I found exactly what I needed to get healthy. A friend of mine had a box of workout videos, one of them was Turbo Jam. I borrowed it and fell in love! I started Turbo Jam in October 2007, transitioned to Chalean Extreme Dec 2008, and stepped it up to TurboFire July 2010. In between I added in a BowFlex Treadclimber, Brazil Buttlift, Walking, and Biking. In 2007 I was wearing size 8 clothes and by the end of 2008 I was wearing size 2. I've managed to keep off the weight and have become addicted to working out and being healthy. I've found lots of inspiration along the way but there are a few people close to my heart who give me the extra push, motivation, and inspiration to continue My new goals include staying healthy and helping those around me to get excited about fitness and to get healthy too!
