Now, a little about me. I am the mother of two wonderful girls, Maggie is 21 and Mary 16. I grew up in the Lincoln, NE area, where my children were born, but we currently reside in Chandler, AZ.
For the last 10 years I have been working as a Regional Sales Manager for some large insurance companies. It was an all consuming career - long hours, extensive travel, entertaining, STRESS and I let it consume me. However, I now have been presented with an opportunity to move into a position which will no longer require me to travel and work such long hours. That will allow me to get more connected with my family, reconnect with friends and take better care of myself.
I used to enjoy working out, although I was never an athlete. I am excited to be excercising regularly again, and getting connected with others who are doing the same thing. Nothing beats some accountability partners or good "workout buddies"!! AND, as my daughter said, I think by signing up as a Beachbody coach and telling my friends and family I am going to be getting healthier and losing more weight, it will help me stick with the program and the get results I am working toward.

In 1996 my weight got close to 200. I joined a gym where I worked out 5 days a week, signed up with the Jenny Craig program consuming only 1200 calories a day, and yet I was only losing 1 pound a More ...
In 1996 my weight got close to 200. I joined a gym where I worked out 5 days a week, signed up with the Jenny Craig program consuming only 1200 calories a day, and yet I was only losing 1 pound a week. I finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid condition. He prescibed medication which I still take today. I continued dieting and excercising, and in 1997 I lost 48 pounds.
I kept that weight off for a few years and then in early 2000 was promoted to a sales management position that involved long hours, extensive traveling and eating most meals out. In addition to not eating healthy, I became a workaholic and quit exercising. The weight started coming back 5-10 pounds per year and by the beginning of 2008 I had gone over the 200 mark again.
In January 2008, I started having a protein shake for breakfast and watching my portions. I lost 30 pounds, then gained 5 back and was stuck there for months. I knew I needed to add excercise to get my metabolism up and break through that weight plateau.
Then in March 2009, I learned my sister-in-law, Audrey Nichelson had won $50,000 for being a finalist for the Million Dollar Body Game. She told me the P90 fitness program and becoming a Beachbody coach, were the keys to her success in losing over 50 pounds. So, I signed up as a coach and am using P90, as well as starting my day with a Shakeology Shake.
I still have a long way to go to get to my goal. However, I know with the network of coaches and friends I am asking to help me be accountable, I will be successful.
