I've been married to Paul (also a Beachbody Coach) for 21 years. We have two beautiful daughter's, Lucy and ChristA Rose. I'm a drummer and have been singing in our family group/band since 1994. I've always been athletic, love the outdoors and traveling with my family.
When we started traveling quite extensively and eating out just about every meal, I began to put on the pounds. I attribute staying under 200 just from playing the drums and keeping up with the girls.
I lost down to my goal weight several years ago by running and changing my eating habits. But that didn't last long as my interests changed and I was no longer motivated to maintain.
I started working out towards the end of February 2010 with the P90X 'Lean" program. Still at this point, I lacked the right motivation. I just did it because I was overweight, out of shape and my husband insisted on buying it.
Once I got started though, I didn't want to stop. Each day was something new. I started seeing results and that made me want to try the next day. I went from not being able to do a push-up or sit-up to doing several now. The push-ups are beginning to get deeper and the sit-ups, they are coming along nicely too.
My arms and legs are toning up but especially my most troubled area, is my mid-section. I can see my feet again ;-) YAY!!! The clothes that I was able to wear 5 years ago when I was at my goal weight, I can already wear now and I still have 18 lbs. left to go.
Onto the Shakeology. I have always been a skeptic when it came to the protein bars and shakes. I did notice once I would use the protein shake as a recovery, it did lessen the recovery time. So when Paul mentioned trying the Shakeology, I was in agreement - though hesitant.
I tried Shakeology for a week. I missed one day by accident and I really felt the difference. So now I'm hooked.
I'm really glad for the opportunity to be a coach. My number one goal is to help people get back on track with their fitness and the spiritual areas in their lives.
So let's do this together. Let God be the number one focus of your day, encourage one another, make wise-choices with your health, fitness, emotional and the spiritual aspects of your life. Keep it real.

June 2011 - This is an ongoing progress & goals section!!! I started training with Team in Training November 2011. I was able to run my first 2 miles in 20 minutes. I attribute this to changing my eating habits and getting fit with p90x. I ran my first marathon May 1, 2011 in 5hours 19 minutes. I am now set to do another full marathon of 26.2 miles November 13, 2011. One thing I can say. When it comes to working out, if you skip more than one workout your body begins to feel sluggish and you start talking yourself out of the next workout. I feel great and feel like I'm really starting to meet goals. I wished I had started this years ago. Shakeology, the vitamins from beachbody and the encouragement from other coaches has really helped me meet my beginning goals.
August 2010 -I was just reading my profile information and that was written quite a few weeks ago. As of today, I am into size 7 jeans and wearing my daughter's clothes. I have lost 27.5 lbs now but the most amazing thing to me isn't the pounds lost but the inches. I quit worrying what the scale says, though I check it periodically to make sure I'm on target since I have increased my calorie intake by 500.
July 2010: I began to feel very sluggish and tired. After checking on the forums and asking questions, I found I had decreased my calories over that month to 1200.
I feel great now, still toning up and losing those inches. My goal is to lose most of the belly fat that has plagued me all my life. Even when I ran in high school (we put in the miles), I always had belly fat.
My other goal is to just be healthy. My dad and his siblings has diabetes. I don't want this disease/sickness. I want to do everything in *my power to be a good steward of my physical state. I do know there are things out of my control but it is up to me to take care of my health and fitness.
