Like many of us, I have always struggled with my weight, weighing in at the beginning of 2010 at about 300 pounds. I was told by my doctor that I was borderline diabetic and was one visit away from being put on high blood pressure medication. Not one to take that laying down, I chose to do something about it.
I started Insanity on March 15, 2010. I weighed 289.5 pounds. 63 days later, May 15, 2010, I weighed 249.5 pounds. I didn't miss a single workout and enjoyed beating myself up every single day. So much so, in fact, that I decided to immediately do Insanity a second time. I started on May 17, 2010, taking one week off after week 7. I finished up my second round of Insanity on July 24, 2010 weighing in at 230 pounds.
Since them I've taken up running long distance, running sprints, doing P90X - which ROCKS by the way - and I'm now, as of July 2011, in the middle of my third round of Insanity. I am getting leaner and leaner by the day and am now under 220 pounds for the first time since 2002.
I chronicled my Insanity Journey on my blog at http://robert-gonzalez.com. Every day I wrote about my experience with the program and what I'd eaten during the day. My hope is that I can inspire others that are struggling to get off their big behinds and start getting healthy, so much so that I've become a coach in order to help other achieve their health and fitness goals.
It worked for me. I know it can work for you. You have all of the tools you need to be a healthy, fit, strong you. You ready to go for it? If you are, feel free to contact me at robert.anthony.gonzalez@gmail.com or visit my coach page at http://www.robert-gonzalez.com/beachbodysignup/ to connect with me. I had been toying with the idea of starting the Insanity program for a while. I was a former high school football player and wrestler, so the workouts in Insanity seemed to be right up my alley. Of course, I'm 20 years out of high school so the thought of killing myself with exercise made me a tad hesitant to get started.
One day in early March I made a decision to do it. I bought the program, received it and started the Monday following, March 15, 2010. I haven't stopped since.
