If I am your coach or you are looking for a coach, please contact me and I will do my very best to help in any way should you have any questions. In 1991, I took the trek cross-country from Harrisburg, PA (where I was born and raised) to Vancouver, WA in the Great Pacific Northwest. I always played sports (Baseball, Soccer) when I was a kid, but somehow got separated from those activities. Needless to say, I had always thought I was in "good" shape. Maybe not "great" shape but "good" shape. In 2001, my wife and I decided to try Taekwondo training. We figured this would give us something we could do together, aside from going to a gym. In 2007, after years of training and going through many bumps in the road, we eventually earned our rank as official Black Belts in Taekwondo. After achieving this rank, I found myself content with my health. I figured that as long as I was training in Taekwondo and doing some cardio and weight training on the side, that was all I needed. I slowly began to see myself getting into an area of health that I didn't think I would see. Think about it, why would I. I was a Black Belt and I was able to get to that level without really doing anything else, why should I have to do anything more. One day I'm watching TV and clicking channels and low and behold there's a P90X commercial. I found myself watching it like a regular TV show; completely riveted. I'm not sure why. Maybe it was the way it was presented, maybe the simplistic nature of the routines..., I don't know. But I couldn't get enough. Next thing you know, I'm scrolling through the channels to find it again. I get this feeling inside, and I can't really explain, but it made me feel that this WILL work and this is different. I knew I needed to get more flexible for my Taekwondo training and I had gained a pound or 30, so..., I figured let's dive in and give it a try. Those several years after achieving my Black Belt rank kind of put me into a mindset of acceptance. This is how I'm supposed to be, not what I necessarily want to be. The Beachbody commercials lit a new spark inside and I started feeling a renewed sense of excitement. I began my first go-round with P90X in March of 2009. Within 6 weeks I lost over 27 pounds and was noticeably stronger and more energetic. It is a great feeling when other people notice your hard work and ask how you're doing it. Enter today... I've completed P90X 3 times, P90x+ once, and am currently moving through a P90X/P90x+ hybrid routine. My Taekwondo training is better than ever and my overall life is better. I really can't wait until the next workout! I'm also looking forward to working through the other Beachbody Training Routines. Currently my wife and I, and our 10 year old son are all getting ready for a Black Belt Test this October. It will be a chance that my wife and I always wanted; testing together for our Second Dan, but also to test with our son for his first Dan. This is a real once of a lifetime thing many people don't get to do. So, no time to slow down! Besides the workouts are too much fun! I'm 43 years old and lost 32 lbs by using Beachbody products, doing the routines, and (most important) changing my eating habits. You can lift weights all day long, but if you don't adjust your food intake (what you eat and the amount) success will be hard to achieve or short-lived. I never really considered myself "over-weight", but looking back now and at the "before" picture, I'm rather embarrassed that I let myself go like that, but proud I was able to do something about it with the help of Beachbody. It really works!! And just as easy to start!! Simply go to www.CoachRonKerlin.com and click on the box "Join Team Beachbody" or "Be a Coach". Either will direct you to fill in your information. And you are done. Then start using Team Beachbody tools which will help you on your way to a better lifestyle, like ..., WOWY SuperGym, which enables you to schedule your workouts, invite Buddies to workout with, and stay accountable to yourself by keeping track of your progress. Yes, it's that easy! Note if deciding to Be A Coach, please let me know prior so I can help explain the various options of what being an Independent Team Beachbody Coach means. Again, if you are interested in change or interested in changing your routines that you may have thought would work but didn't, please feel free to get in touch with me. I would be more than happy lead you in the right direction or just lend a helpful ear. If you don't have any questions, just send me an email to say "Hi". Thanks and Good Luck!
