Greetings, I am Ryan Cotner, a 23 year old college student from Warsaw, Indiana. I preferred to be called Ryco, simply because there are thousands of Ryans out there and my last name people seem to have a hard time pronouncing it. I preferred to be called Ryco, simply because there are thousands of Ryans out there and my last name people seem to have a hard time pronouncing it. Even though I am relatively younger than most of the other coaches on Million Dollar Body, I have survived an eye opening childhood and early adulthood filled with negativity. Rising above all life's challenges I am proud to say I am the happiest person on the planet. My whole life I had to work harder than the average person to achieve the average results. Throughout grade school I had to have a private tutor to help me understand the key concepts just to get Cs. Then when I hit middle school I was so self conscience about my appearance and learning skills that I never answered any questions in class and I hid at lunchtime. By the end of my middle school years, I was tested by the school nurse for sclerosis. She was concerned and advised my parents to take me to our family doctor. He sent me to a specialist in Fort Wayne, In. The doctors immediately ordered all sorts of tests and MRIs. They found a tumor on my spine, starting at the middle of the back of my head and down to the middle of my back growing on my spine. It took over eight hours in surgery to remove the tumor. During the surgery the doctor had to cut some of the nerves to get the tumor. The good news, the tumor was benign, but I had to learn how to walk and write again. If that wasn’t enough puberty kicked in, my face covered with pimples and a high pitched voice. I was an easy target to get picked on. It was non stop even the church I attended the members showed no mercy. Some of them were fellow classmates at my high school. It came to the point that I prayed and wished for my life to end. Instead, God sent my oldest sister to take care of me. Once I started living with her my life took a total spin for the better. I was 17 and a junior in high school, she helped me improve my image by eating healthier and exercising. By my senior year I went from 230 lbs to 180 lbs; I was still working on my self-esteem. I waited a couple years to go to college, in those couple years I worked at the local pizza place. One evening a lady came up to me and offered me a modeling job for one of the local party supply shops in the area, so I did some photo shoots dressed in a tuxedo and dancing with a variety of girls in a prom setting. Since I did not attend my high school prom, that photo shoot made up for it and then some. I did enroll at Purdue University of Fort Wayne (IPFW) and needed to transfer my credits over to University of Phoenix, the classes I needed, IPFW did not offer them locally. I also have a certification in Personal Training and Sports Nutrition from Expert Rating. I have grown to realize, release all the negatives in your past and work on achieving your goals. You may not be able to change someone else, but you can change how you react to them. Thank you, for giving this opportunity to share a piece of my life with you. Keep your head up, because you can’t catch a star with your head down. If I can be of any help to you, I am just an e-mail away.

The past forty some days have been crazy. For about three weeks I could not do any excercises because I injured my ankle and the doctor wanted me to rest so thats what I did. After my ankle healed, I started to do the basic P90 workouts and I feel great and ready to try P90X. I can't wait to see my results in 30 days. Take care,
Ryco
