Rancho Cucamonga, CA I’m a 47 yr old man; A father of three grown young women, and a grandfather to two boys and one girl. I am married to Shelly and have a dog named Ozzy. I had always been the athletic type and used that gift often as a young man. I joined the Military in 1981 and made a living as an Army Paratrooper before joining the Elite US Army Special Forces. During my time in the military I was very fortunate I’m a 47 yr old man; A father of three grown young women, and a grandfather to two boys and one girl. I am married to Shelly and have a dog named Ozzy. I had always been the athletic type and used that gift often as a young man. I joined the Military in 1981 and made a living as an Army Paratrooper before joining the Elite US Army Special Forces. During my time in the military I was very fortunate to travel the world, see new exotic places, try strange tasting foods and meet many interesting people.
Although my fellow team members and I were not playing professional sports, we trained as if we were. I always felt I was among the most physically fit of my generation. Whether I actually was or not, didn’t matter to me. It was what I believed. A person would have been hard pressed to find a challenge I wasn’t prepared to tackle, or at least attempt. I have climbed mountains, I have exited aircraft from thousands of feet above the ground, and I have managed to survive in some of the harshest terrain and climates on the planet. Physical activity and physical fitness were who I was and I liked it.
I eventually left the Army in search of new opportunities and to finish my education. I earned a couple of pieces of paper. I played community sports with my wife and our friends, and I went about living my life as any normal person might.
In the late 90's I suffered a significant back injury while on the job. Thus began, what turned out to be the most daunting challenge of my life...recovery and rehabilitation. It was a grueling 10 year process, back surgery was ultimately involved. The Year was now 2009 and by that fall the long journey of rehabilitation had left me depressed, angry, and scared. I had recently been diagnosed with an over active Thyroids, I was 50 lbs over weight, My blood pressure was through the roof, I was addicted to pain medication, anti-anxiety medication, and anti-depression medication. I drank (way to much) alcohol, thinking it would help ease the pain. It didn't. I hated myself, my situation, and the future I saw in front of me. I wallowed in pity over the person I had become and I mourned for the person I once was. One night everything came crashing down on me. I was in tremendous pain. I was in tears and I was exhausted...OH, AND I WAS THROUGH WITH IT ALL...I knew that If I didn’t make a change immediately I was a dead man, both physically, and emotionally. Lying in the dark balled up in a fetal position, sobbing uncontrollably I made a decision. Something just came over me. I began to recall situations from my past when I needed to “Suck it up” “Grow some Balls” and face the challenge before me. I remembered the nervous excitement I felt when confronted with impossible odds and the sense of pride and satisfaction when I conquered the challenge. So I decided. I was no longer going to sit idle and waste away while there was so much more living to be done. I was going to do whatever was needed to work through the pain and begin regaining my physical self. I knew it would be hard, and I would need to start slowly. The next day I began. It was the hardest thing I had ever done. I started off timid and afraid. I was concerned that my worst fears would be realized...that perhaps I couldn’t come back from this. My first exercises were in a spa. I started out doing simple stretches and some water supported core work. Within a month I was experimenting with a friends copy of P90X Stretch,Chest/Back and Yoga.
On July 1st 2010 I made the decision that ultimately changes my life forever. I purchased P90X. I have not stopped since. As of today August 1st 2011 I have completed P90x multiple times (Classic, Doubles, Lean). I have completed Insanity, and a multitude of other physical activities and events. Check out my photos and you will see the kinds of results that I have experienced. You too can have these kinds of results.
I have dedicated my life to assisting each and every person that asks for my help. I believe that you too can overcome any challenge with the correct mental attitude. I have learned through hard work and dedication that anything is possible. If we all work together and give each other the proper support we will move mountains.
I want us all to live a Strong Healthy Life, and to find peace and happiness at any age.

In 90 day of doing P90X classic I lost 25 pounds and two pant sizes. That was during the summer of 2010. By the time I had finished P90X for the third consecutive time I was down 40 lbs and 4 pant sizes. Since then I have continued to include P90X as part of my daily workout regime. I can now run faster, jump higher, and my goodness I look and feel great. No excuses, just "do your best and forget the rest" Keep pushing play and "BRING IT"
