Transformation story

The very beginning of my jouney wasn't easy, but this is how I came to realize beachbody was for me.

I was watching TV one night and seen an informercial with Turbo Jam, I was sold. As soon as they said only $29.99 a month I had the phone in hand and dialing. I bought the turbo Jam and started with that, My daughter was doing martial arts and was in fantastic shape, so why couldn't I try it.
Then I seen an informercial for P90X and Oh Mi God, I knew this was for me. I'm a tough cookie and knew I could do this.With drive and sheer determination.

So, I did Turbo Jam for 2 or 3 weeks. My friend and Hubby started with me about a week after. Then I just couldn't wait. I dove right into P90X. I was going to give myself a month with Turbo Jam first but got impatient. I know what the right weight training could do for you. The results on the message boards is what got me. I figured if they could do this, I can do it.

The first 2 weeks were the hardest ever, I was SO SORE but I knew if I pushed through this, that I would make it. I just had to get past the first few weeks.
My friend and husband fell out of the game in phase 1. I wont give up!! I refused too. Too many people have succeded and motivated me beyond turning back.
I would have to say the hardest part is the diet. It's a ton of food but I dont question it. I just do it!!

A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON MY STRUGGLES

I had my daughter pretty young and have never been able to completely bounce back. I was a tiny teenager who got pregnant young.
Since having my daughter, I have had a huge issue with weight. My body stretched out and put on around 95 lbs. Since, I have gained and lost weight over the years. Always up and down on the scale. The smallest I could get down to was 165 lbs and a size 11/12.
I am emotional eater and obesity runs on my Moms side of the family.
In 2002 I had a snowboarding accident which left me with a broken back and bed ridden. As a single mother, my 6 yr old daughter was now caring for me.
At the time, I owned and operated a cleaning service, which thank god to one of my best friend for covering everything for me. So I still had an income, but became very depressed.
The pain killers drastically slowed my metabolism. I became dependent, depressed and started eating unhealthy.
I ate whatever my daughter could make. Fear of becoming obese like my Mom and Aunt led me to starving myself and taking xanadrine (the so called miracle weight loss pill, lol). My biggest fear GETTING FAT AGAIN.
Well, I did and I spent nearly two years getting back down to a size 11 weight training and running 6 days a week, 2 1/2 hours a day.
So, the weight was gone KINDA. Never had the abs I wanted though.

Then prior to July of 2008 I went through a separation with my husband which almost led to a divorce. The 7 year itch some call it. I was not the one itching. Here comes the emotions!
Then a year later, I had a pretty bad car accident. Up until the accident everything was so so, I was dealing with my separation pretty good.
I had got comfortable with my size, stopped working out and started drinking beer, but I was relatively small (size 13/14)
Then the accident happened. I don't know what it is about tragedy but, when it happens it pulls people back together.
As with us. My husband was back home caring for me and I had lots of anger and emotions.
What did I do, I ATE my way through this and here comes the holidays. Not to mention I was on Vicodin, sleeping pills and depression pills.
I figured what the hell. I can work it off once I heal.

I gave it my best efforts to get back into that teen shape with P90X doing doubles and trying Insanity. But was unsuccessful. I lacked commitment.

I put weight back on, took the summer off from working out and just basically floated the rivers and drank beer. MAJOR WEIGHT GAIN!

Then one day I tried to put on a pair of my fat pants and they didn't fit. My hubby was now leaving for 3 months at a time on contract out of state work and it was time to SERIOUSLY DO something. Time for me to focus on myself and give myself 100%.
I decided enough was enough, NO EXCUSES! I dug deep and dove right in.

Beginning weight Prior to P90X Journey, 235
So far I've went from 235 to 155. Had my fair share of struggles, but I've lost a TON of weight and replaced it with muscle and I LOVE IT!!
The Beachbody community helped me obtain my goals. If it wasn't for the support, motivation and help I got, I would have never followed through.

The solution= Be consistent, don't give up, no excuses, determination, drive and community support.

I can't thank everyone enough for being there for me and supporting me through this journey in my life.
It's now a LIFESTYLE, not a diet.

Watch my transformation as I head into the next 6 months of my life to get my finally get that darn 6 pack!!
The workouts killed at 1st but I'm feeling better. So far everything has shrunk and I'm on my way to a body I never thought was possible. Today my tummy still bears some stretch marks, but it's 1000% better then before and I'm finally starting to get the abs I've always wanted.

I love the fact that there are real people out there working toward the same goal and we all have a place to come to talk about it. THAT'S MOTIVATION!!!
I HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO GET MY STOMACH BACK PRE BABY AND PUT ON A BIKINI, (18 years later) but I believe I will with BEACH BODY!!!

What MOTIVATED ME TO PUSH PLAY EVERYDAY> every morning, I would have to play youtube b4 and after video's (Lindsay Matway) to pump myself up and motivate me to get out of bed and JUST PUSH PLAY.
Constantly reminding MYSELF IF SHE CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT!!!
IT WORKS!

What it takes= NEVER gave up on the PROGRAM and DECIDED to COMMIT 100%.
