I am a 43 year old mother of 3. I had my first child at 19 and my last at 22 and by the age of 27 I was a single parent struggling to take care of my kids and earn money. During my late 20’s and early 30’s I did triathlons as a way to meet people and keep some sense of self. However, as my children grew, I found I needed to focus more on earning money to support their needs and activities.

I am a 43 year old mother of 3. I had my first child at 19 and my last at 22 and by the age of 27 I was a single parent struggling to take care of my kids and earn money. During my late 20’s and early 30’s I did triathlons as a way to meet people and keep some sense of self. However, as my children grew, I found I needed to focus more on earning money to support their needs and activities. Gradually, my lifestyle became less physically active, busier, and more stressful. In addition, many of the friends that I trained with moved away or their lifestyles changed.

I would try to get back in shape by creating work out plans and schedule time to run or bike, but never stuck with it.

It’s now been over 10 years since I was fit. My body feels old; I have no strength, no stamina, and no energy. I used to go-go-go all day long, now I’m tired after doing a few house chores! To make matters worse, my body shape is changing thanks to gravity! I’m not ready to feel this run down and sluggish and I’m not ready to look middle aged either.

So, I’m ready to commit this. My joining this group and getting the P90X dvd is my commitment to a healthy and fit body. I accept that I can’t stop growing older, but I can influence aging by making the right choices for diet and exercise. I can make my body as healthy and strong as possible and I’m ready to do that!
