Continuation of a challenge... It was just a couple of years ago that I was a beautiful, curvy six/eight. It was two years before that I was in the best shape of my life! I worked at a gym, worked out with a personal trainer -
looked and felt incredible! In late 2005 I stopped working at the gym and workouts started to slide. In both 2005 and 2006,due to either finances or health, I started and stopped working with a very good personal trainer.
The weight crept up! In February 2007, I had gained up to 147 and I cried to my fiance'. I have since gained thirty more pounds. I got married in a fat body! I cried about that, too! In the midsts of all of this up and down (well,
mostly up) with my weight were some pretty serious health issues. First there was a great shift in my hormones due to something called menopause. I had no idea those dang hormones and balancing them were so darn important! I
feel like I'm in reverse puberty, but on this end I get to lose my curves versus gain them! It's just so hard for me to accept. Is this vanity that I want them to stay - and even be better than they ever were in the past - at
the age of 50?

Then there was/is the cerebral aneurysm that's now adorned with platinum and a stent, the constantly low vit. d level combined with low calcium diet that caused some bone loss in hips/spine - osteopenia. On top of that, at the time, I was experiencing the most job stress I've ever faced in life!

Pounds kept coming on...

Well, I wasn't vain when I had the curves that are now covered by the multitude of fat cells. I prefer to think that the number of fat cells didn't increase but the size of the fat cells I have have increased. I am intent on
shrinking them during this 2009. Summer's coming - leg weather. I still have all my spandex workout clothes that I'm tired of hiding under big t-shirts...

I know it can be done. I promise to post something every day to help inspire me and chronicle this journey. It's going to be very cool to post pics of a changed for the better body. The health issues are under control so I'm
starting over again.

The pictures make me pretty sad... for me! But, the quote about saying goodbye to that body makes me feel better. Plus, This workout is challenging. I feel like, and I am, starting all over again - fumbling, constantly trying to correct form. I know each workout gets better. I can't
wait! Maybe one day everyone will be reading about ME!
