Hello everyone! My name is Ellen, but friends call me Elle... I am happily married to a wonderful man and we have an 18 year old son who we both love dearly. My family and I live in sunny Southern California and I am an Independent Team Beachbody Coach.
Though skinny all my life, skinny doesn't always mean you look good and are healthy. When you are skinny, every little curve that isn't supposed to be a curve, shows up much easier and let me tell ya, that doesn't look good. Though I have always been a moderate eater, I'd never really been good about eating well.
Earlier this year, I was hit with vertigo for three months. It was a wake-up call for me. I was hit pretty bad to where I could not get out of bed without being able to stand up, so crawling was the new way of "walking" for me. I promised myself if I got back to standing, I'd get my ass in gear to fight this vertigo just in case it came back and hit me that hard again. So, after three months, I was able to walk on my own two feet again; however, I had to be dependent on medication to control the dizzy "moments" whenever they'd come and go. Though I love my doctor, I wasn't loving that I had to be one of those people who depended on meds to function normally.
I knew deep down inside that the best way to beat this was to get back into exercising and eating well. So I set out to look for that right fitness program to follow..... Being a researcher at heart, I perused the net, watched TV shows, read fitness magazines and looked for something that would catch my eye and motivate me towards getting healthier and getting fit and toned. One of my friends gave me his P90X DVDs when he'd decided to move on to Insanity... I tell ya, within a few weeks of challenging workouts, I was already seeing and feelin' the difference.
I'm on the road to getting that hard body look I've always dreamt of and becoming the healthiest I've ever been in my life. I'll be 50 years old in a a year and I want to be the healthiest and most physically strong & active that I've ever been...
NOW HERE'S THE SKINNY: Along the way, with the passion for the product and the company that stands behind their product and their people; I've decided to help spread the "good" that Beachbody has been giving me and giving this gift of fitness and health to others, by becoming a Coach!
What's great about this too? Now my husband is on the P90X program and we are both on our way to being healthy and fit! He has also signed up as a Coach and we have been meeting so many people just like us who have actually TAKEN ACTION instead of using the many excuses we all use to not exercise. These people have signed up as buddies to work out with us or have decided to be Coaches on our team and we just love working together and being one another's support system and accountability buddy to stay on track with all our fitness goals.
We are all just one big Beachbody Family....sharing ideas and advice.... Being the inspiration along with the perspiration.... :)
So come join me in my journey to fifty and fit AND being in the best shape all of us can be!
Huge (Tony Horton) X Hug for you all! The best to you in fitness, health and well being! :)

P.S. The meds? They were at the bottom of my trash bin by the 20th day of P90X and I've not needed one pill ever since... Thanks for this gift of life Beachbody!
